DLA WAIT TIME THREAD 62

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

My daughter is 6, no road awareness, throws things into the road I have to restrain her she throws herself onto the floor whether it’s grass or concrete because she can be so unpredictable it can just happen out of nowhere she’s unaware she could hurt herself also she’s a risk to herself and others and can’t get around safely without a adult so I applied under smi the lady that diagnosed wrote a letter so fingers crossed I’ll keep you updated I’m hoping they don’t go to the senco as I’m currently changing her schools at the moment because of how bad they are there! But it should be a while before we get a decision and she may be settled in her new school then so the new senco at the school could maybe put in a word hopefully x

I’m 2/10 and got told today it’s with a case worker

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and I missed a call from a lady today. I tried to call back but was on hold until after they closed so didn't get through. Would this have been the decision maker? And what would she be calling for? Makes me so nervous!

in and add my award and date for
others monitoring the timings. My little boy 2 year old suspected ASD, preverbal and diagnosed with global development delay. S/D for NC was 2/9 just received backpay 26 weeks MRC :) I’m over the moon for us!

when is the last time you called for an update? Surely you should have a decision now. Has it reached 25 weeks

Another long time lurker, but saw this morning that DS has been awarded. SD 04/09 as a NC. Banking app showing a payment due to be paid in tomorrow which will be exactly 20 weeks from the SD. I haven't had a text or letter, and I have only called them once after 4 weeks to find out if they received the application.

After some quick maths seems to be MRC and LRM for 6yo DS with diagnosed ASD and suspected ADHD.

I submitted the forms late by about a week (full time care + full time work over the summer break) and it looks like it hasn't been backdated to the form request date, but that's ok as I'm just glad it's done.

Thankyou, im so glad we both got good outcomes on the same day.
They said tomorrow when I was on the phone yesterday but I haven't recieved it. So I'm going to check tomorrow and if nothing I will phone to make 100% sure.
Do you know when you get paid yet?

Yeah I will call tomorrow if not keep me updated I’m with Monzo so I think if it was tomorrow it would show tonight if I’m right 🤔

I don't get the pending payments bit on my bank, which in cases like this is annoying 😒 so I won't find out until after midnight if the payment goes in. Of course I'll keep you updated I'm sure you will to me.

Hi guys I just got a decision!! My scan date is 09/09 new claim I got MRC for my son I'm over the moon!!!! Decision was made yesterday which makes it 19 weeks exactly, thank you everyone so much u couldn't have done it without this group It gave me so much answers that I needed and abit of comfort really!! I'm praying for you all good luck!! Oh also she said it will be earliest on Friday for back pay if not should be next week

I’m with Monzo too! Great for seeing payments coming in isn’t it, especially as I’m so impatient 🫠😂

Usually with Monzo it shows around 2pm for pending payments. It can be a day before or 2 days before. On a Thursday it will show pending for 4 days time for Mondays payments. Which you then can get paid early at 4pm on the Friday.

A 28/9 decision was made yesterday, I’m most definitely struggling now with a 12/09. Im so hoping by end of the week 😂

Have you phoned them? That's the only way I found out. I went through option 4 and just asked for an update.
