New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

SD 13/09 NC. I rang last week and was told my claim was with a DM from Monday 13th Jan. I rang again for an update (the wait is killing me!) and have been told that I was given the wrong information and it is not yet assigned to a DM 🙁. Also got told to ignore the 15 week waiting time on the letters as it could be up to 25 weeks for a NC.

I'm too anxious to call before 25 weeks. But thank you x

I’m waiting for a few claims
NC DLA- SD 19/9- told today it’s on holding waiting for a DM. Stupidly waited to make a claim 3 months before their 16th despite having a genetic physical disability diagnosed at 2 and ASD diagnosed a couple of years ago. Desperately need it for college in September. So also waiting on PIP decision, SD 12/12, had a 14 min phone assessment (lots of Evidence so only discussed one question) last week, report sent waiting for DM.

Renewal DLA for youngest, ASD and ADHD.
SD, 4/11 current award ends 28/2 waiting for a DM

I'm on week 20 and apparently it's still in the queue (SD 3/09) :(. So I sent extra evidence on Friday via royal mail special delivery tracked. Do anyone know how to check if it's arrived? I have a receipt but I'm not sure which the tracking number is.

Google Royal Mail track, the tracking number usually starts with two letters and ends with GB with numbers in the middle

last MR awarded was 14/08. My mr is 20/08. You could get lucky though and hear quicker. It seems like MRs are taking closer to 25 week mark. I am week 22 today. But some hear sooner so have to wait and see.

Nc SD 12/9 anyone had any luck yet? Just rang for an update as around 20week mark and they said to wait till 25 weeks now instead of the 20weeks. Seen some people getting letters already from close to this date so fingers crossed.

@bt7506 Try not to listen to the nonsense they sproat on the phone they are saying anything just lately and it's terrible they are giving out false info and are just saying 25 weeks, they've been told to say that as to not give anyone hope that it will be done any faster, but they are being done faster especially NC they are well into September and first week of October for NC but obviously some NC will still be waiting from Aug as these claims may need the DWP health care professional input or just some clarity from school or doctor or sen worker that don't mean they will be declined it just means the DM has to get it right and award fairly with all info needed to make the decision.. I'm sure you won't be to much longer now with your SD 💫

My MR SD is 21/08 so it’s giving me hope that I’m almost there 🤞🏽

Hi all,
I had a call from decision maker on Friday who asked about any additional classes my son does through school such as speech and language and a few other questions. I was on the school run at the time so was a little on the spot but I reeled off a few classes he has done but looking back I could have said loads more. I have put this all in the forms with evidence so hopefully they did read all of this. The call was very quick has anyone had a call like this before? She said I will find out decision in the post, does this sound like a decline? SD 3/09

A few others have posted that DMs have called them. A decision is made usually. I would advise you to call up and press option 4 to check the outcome. Alternatively you can wait for the post or backpay if awarded. My experience the letter takes 2 weeks to come.

thank you for your help love so if I was to get payed tomorrow it would show wouldn’t it I got awarded Friday so I would of thought I had payment tomorrow but not showing 🤔

I called Friday for an update on the MR and to give them more evidence on the phone as I’m in hospital with my son at the moment.

I called again yesterday to check the evidence had been uploaded and I was told my MR is still waiting to be looked at.

I have sent in a 9 page statement and other bits and pieces so I don’t think mine will be done very quickly to be honest.

By now it definitely should be showing with Monzo if you were getting paid tomorrow. Don’t forget you can access your money the day before at 4pm so I would say you’ll get it on Friday. Possibly showing pending tomorrow around 2pm. I could be wrong though so please don’t get your hopes up on my guesstimation x

Posted MR for my Twin 1 on 17th July,
Received an acknowledgment letter after over 4 weeks dated 20th August.
payment received on 24th December followed by a letter confirming HRC & LRM.

Posted another new application for my Twin 2 on 19th Jul.
did not get any acknowledgement yet.
just rang them yesterday and I was told that they did not received my application at all. it was sent via free post service.

I’m pretty sure it’s 3-5 days after you’re awarded x

It's all still a waiting game now, instead of a decision we are waiting for payment let's hope we get it Friday
