Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

That's brilliant news. Gives me hope that even tho when I rang this afternoon my sons claim wasn't with a dm. That it can be that quick.

iv had a message on mine today they can escalate it after 1 month has passed put a journal message on and ask them to escalate to the decision maker for the back date request x

SD: 3/9 but I have been told it's not even with the decision makers on Wednesday and will not be looked at until mid February :(. So I have just sent extra evidence to arrive by Monday. Hopefully they receive it in time and I get a decision soon. Have many people after our scan date have got a response?

9/9 SD so nervous now, like everyone else I was fine till I see people close to my sd getting their decision, when I spoke to them Monday they said it was still in a holding que but hoping dm already looking at it and next week is our week 😩

Scan date was 9/8

He is 6 just in August, I sent over a massivr letter from myself basically going over the reasons they said no after the renewal.

I also had a report from a ep from school and the ehcp.

And there may be other stuff but it was so bloody long ago!!

congrats! I sent over all the ECHP ed psychologist occupational report etc. they refused it cause he is 3 we already get care element. Hopefully this time round they actually read it all cause it states everything in the reports. Thank you hun x

I 100% think the are more reluctant with mobility element before aged 5

So one of my children receives hrc, no mobility due to his age when we first applied. However we are due to do a renewal in May. Some things have changed such as gaining a EHCP and specialist school setting and medication but mostly his care needs have remained the same. Our LA have asked if i would be willing to transport my child to his setting with a personal budget.( which currently I would be able to do) I Suppose my question is when the time comes for renewal and if lose his award for a lesser rate. Where would I stand with the UC? As work commitments are only paused for HRC? Has anyone else been through this? Sorry I'm probably overthinking, but don't want a nasty surprise from UC 🥴

My NC scan date was 10/09 and decision made last Friday 10/01 May be worth a chase? I found option 4 most helpful when calling.
