Ooh Interesting. It would be a relief for sure if it could be done that way. Hmm, thinking what to do, Thanks for the info anyway 😊

It’s probably too much of a risk not doing an mr I suppose just incase.

Edited

Around week 15 I called to let them know I was sending more evidence and the call handler said if a decision is made before the extra evidence is seen, if it's within 4 weeks the claim can be looked at again. I sent more evidence at week 18 again with that in mind also.
So could well be a thing that happens 🤷🏽‍♀️
Good luck

application has been declined. I have been told that i can send in late evidence for it to go to the same decision maker for the decision to possibly change. This would be before starting a mandatory reconsideration. Is this correct as I cannot find any information online regarding this.

Sorry to hear you’ve been declined. I have never heard of being given the option to submit additional evidence after a decision to overturn it. I wonder if that’s because MRs have big backlogs. So disheartening to get a decline. Do you have additional evidence?

I’ve seen them doing this a lot, I think due to the back log on Mrs before taking it this far decision makers are having a re look. If I was you I’d send some extra evidence if you have it and see if they change the decision. I’ve seen that it’s only taking an extra 4 weeks with others that I have seen so definitely worth it. Obviously this may vary with each claim!

That was my thoughts too. It must be as MRs have taken over half a year they are willing to see if they can change a decision prior to it going to that stage

I’ve just had my sons claim overturned at mr stage for HRM under SMI, he’s exactly like your son, but 4 years old! Fight it, make sure you send the autism diagnosis report as that is part of the criteria! Good luck x

@Kc1999x did it say on the evidence that you sent in that your son has no danger awareness?

There should be a complete overhaul to this failing system. It’s meant to be there to help parents but the application process, sending evidence, everything about it is outdated and not fit for purpose. I’m calling to ask if they’ve sorted my date issue

Agreed. It’s literally like torture. Guessing if your paperwork made, guessing when it’s scanned on. Guessing time frames, watching others be awarded after a couple of weeks when you’ve been waiting months… the list goes on and on it’s a joke🤦🏽‍♀️ I really hope they have sorted your date. The extra days are going to prolong your decision time

SKB12 · 22/12/2024 13:26

No awards today? Hope this week brings a good final push especially for July claims

Yes I believe they do. A couple of weeks ago someone on here received a text to say they’ve been awarded which was a Sunday.

Kc1999x · 22/12/2024 17:55

I reckon we will see a lot wrapped up by Christmas Eve and when they open back up. Had no idea it was this bad. Surely their own workers must be complaining to their managers
