Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Oh that’s good to hear. Very nearly there I hope. Do you think it’s worth me sending in a copy of my recent communication with school? It’s the emails where I noted my concerns about my son’s lack of progress from year 7 to 8. I’ve got it on email his teacher saying he’s made no progress, don’t know if it’ll help?

I just hope they don’t rush it for people and make the wrong awards if you get what I mean🤦🏽‍♀️ but yeh cause I first applied just after Covid and the back log was then except COC was taking the longest. This is the longest wait time for MRs that I’ve ever seen

I sent an email from the school about them addressing my daughters anxiety and school refusal, it even had in there how she will get in the car naked with only a dressing gown on, so I wouldn't get her out yhe car 😂 send EVERYTHING

I don’t blame you one bit because it could be that one piece of evidence that they needed to make that final decision🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s all I can think of in relation to DM calling the school and them messing it up. Meeting with them and plan co planned for January.

It’s a shame that the school is being the way they are that you’re having to go about things like this because of their lack of support. Its infuriating🤦🏽‍♀️

Yeah it is. It’s been brewing since October when I found out they hadn’t sent EHCP amendments to SENDAR from a meeting held in early July.

I'm glad she's a little conscious now she's nearly 9, up to 7 she used to do naked gardening 🫣😂

It's completely zero f##*s given about so many things, but wouldn't speak to her best friend if she saw her outside school because it's embarrassing 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 just 5 minutes inside her head 🤪

That’s made me chuckle 😆 we have school refusal but he stays in bed and refuses to move. I’ve printed them off ready for posting tomorrow. Don’t know if it’ll help but it won’t hurt.

Honestly like I’ve blinked and we are in December🤦🏽‍♀️ but I can’t wait for Christmas! My little boy doesn’t understand at all what Christmas is and has never unwrapped a present before, so I’m hoping for atleast one present unwrapped this year from him🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Awww how old is he? Hopefully he will this year there is nothing better is there than little faces waking up when Santa has been! God he gets so much credit 🤣🤣

and to be honest I want to call think I need to call but we have so much going on these next 3 days I want to fully throw myself into with the kids I may just wait untill after Christmas Day now maybe 27th dunno let’s see how today pans out 🤣🤣🙈🙈

He’s 4, will be 5 next month🥺 very limited understanding but because it isn’t something consistent day to day I think it’ll take a while for him to realise it happens yearly! My little girl is 2 counting down the sleeps till Santa comes. He gets too much credit if you ask me😂 breaking our backs getting it all ready to say look what Santa has got you🙃🙃🤣

I feel like if you don’t call either today or tomorrow it’s going to be playing too much on your mind over the days you can’t call, that’s on Christmas Day included🤦🏽‍♀️ if anything I’d try call bang on 9 so it’s a quick phone call x

I think at this point everything helps, and from what I gather it's about the extra time you have to spend caring or him over what you would do another child his age, and spending hours everyday trying to get them to school is definitely up there
