Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Totally agree, the not knowing is awful. I have a horrible feeling we will be going to tribunal which if we found out sooner rather than later wouldn’t be as gutful

Oh no! I got through surprisingly quick both times today. I guess it’s a last minute dash before Christmas! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Still no decision made! Absolutely ridiculous now complaint logged now sure how they will make a difference told me to phone back next week! Useful to say the least I will now be phoning Monday and Tuesday and everyday there open untill this is sorted x

Yeah new claim scan date 19/07 x I’ve made a complaint now been with a dm 3 weeks evidence received on 11/12 told me to phone back next week so they will be getting a call
daily when there open x

Hopefully a decision is made over the weekend now you put a complaint in x

Scan date 06/08 NC South West. Just called and was told it hasn't even been looked at yet. They said it would be 25 weeks so now looking at the end of January.

I’m trying to be positive but got a feeling might be declined. It’s the wait that makes you more scared of reapplying. Hope we all get the awards our kids deserve x

Does jt matter where in the country you are or are they all dealt with centrally?

Also, are they meant to process them in order of scan date or is it a mix of location+scan date?

Finally, my child is currently 4, when I submitted this current new claim I was aware we wouldn't get mobility (I believe we should get lower rate mobility). How does it work with timescales? On current timescales, even if I put in a 'new' form now, if it was awarded, it would be past their 5th birthday. Or do they automatically send you out forms to reassess nearer the time? Thanks!

Mine is 4 but will be 5 In Feb...tbe way things are going think mine will be 5 before I hear! Will be 18weeks on Monday so not been waiting as long as some others but it's so hard when you know the benefit it would give your child if they are awarded.

That’s all we can do is try to remain positive and this wouldn’t be the end of the battle if it comes down to it x

Sorry to hear. Glad you complained, it should mean they have a decision for you before they shut, hope it’s this weekend for you as they don’t always know. Terrible how it’s dragged on x

4 days until they shut and then another 4 before the year is out so fingers crossed plenty of time to look at evidence

They have no reason to be rude, they have a whole speech on the thing about being rude to staff, but what about us as parents🙄 costs nothing to be kind

No exactly. It’s a job to them. But this is our life, fighting for support for our children

They seem to be getting through August dates pretty quickly. Makes me think my wishful thinking that August will be a quieter month cause of school holidays was correct! I’m 14 weeks in scan date 12/09. Now I’m seeing them get closer, it gets more scary! 😂 I feel for those scan dates in July still not done, those DMs seem to be on a go slow 🙄 seems the new dms they got for August and September have picked the pace up a lot!
