Take it with a pinch of salt 😆 the guy I spoke to yesterday reckoned it could be early new year for a decision but in November I was told to call back mid December to see if a decision had been made. 25 is the general text 😂

It does and gives hope that ours may be done too. I would say I’m not calling until Christmas Eve but they haven’t changed the date they have down for my claim so I will call unless they call me to address it

JW070116 · 20/12/2024 14:22

Called twice today, once to check if my evidence has been scanned on, was told both had been, not sure I believed her 🤔- the lady I spoke to seemed very distracted so I didn't bother asking anything else 🙄 called back this afternoon to ask for an update nice lady and got told yes new claims are taking 20 weeks and MR's 25 😫absolute rubbish and just a script - if they drag this out until January, I think I may put in a formal complaint about the lack of communication and honesty - spewing an official line is not the way to go - DWP has really got my back up this week plus 4 kids are climbing the walls, and my DD is also swinging off the Xmas decs so I've had enough 😴😵😂good luck and everything crossed for everyone still waiting

When I called last Weds (11th) they said it wasn’t with a DM (not sure how true that is!) and then we were awarded Weds 18th x

Mumto42244 · 20/12/2024 15:47

Finally got through, told to stop ringing it is still in queue no where near been assigned

mine is COC so 09/08

zoeybrooks45 · 20/12/2024 15:51

These call handlers recently lack compassion. If they are not fans of the job they should quit. I feel as though they are rude to put you off calling. But everybody is in thier right to check progress. They are the ones delayed all on 6 months. Ridiculous the whole thing!! DWP has really gone down hill dealing with disabled children. Absolutely disguisting 😡

Absolutely, especially when I originally had paperwork to say 11 weeks, then 15, then 25! Everyone's within their rights to find out what's going on when they're constantly moving the goalposts.

I agree. I know for certain the girl I spoke to this morning cut me off on purpose after saying I wasn’t being out through to a DM to query my sons claim date which I’m within my rights to do. I called back and logged a complaint. They haven’t clocked off for Christmas just yet and shouldn’t act like they have. Incidentally they have an additional day off that PIP don’t when PIP aren’t anywhere as far behind as them 🙄

We only ever got the letter saying 11 weeks they couldn’t even be bothered to send out an updated one just barking 25 weeks down the phone instead 😅

You can ring every day if you wish. They have no right to tell you to stop ringing.

@3daughters37 at least you’ve got a decision. Is that a renewal

Hi it was ment to be a renewal because she turned 5 but for some reason it got through as a change of circumstance

SKB12 · 20/12/2024 16:22

Myboy2017 · 20/12/2024 15:17

SD 26/7 MR still not with DM. Losing it! 😭
