Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

NC SD 06/08/ I’ve just called and got straight through, they told me a decision was made on the 18th and to wait for the letter! I feel sick to my stomach, I asked if he could put me through to someone that could tell me the outcome and he said no I have to wait for the letter! I’m so worried now and upset as I know they can put me through to someone that can tell me but he was very abrupt!

Just call back and ask to be put through hopefully someone will be able to tell you more x

These phone calls make me so anxious and it took a lot of courage to call today, I hate that they’re so abrupt and I’m worried I’m going to get the same person! 😩. Thank you xx

I totally agree some of the call handlers are so rude and abrupt! And they lie and read of a script it’s like they just cba!
Hopefully it will be someone more understanding who will be able to transfer your call x

Yep! And considering it was only last week they told me I wouldn’t hear until end of Jan it really messes with your emotions. I will try and pluck up the courage to call in a bit. I feel sick xx

Missed a call from the decision maker 😩 they left a voicemail to say they will call back between 1 and 1.30 now I’m flapping SD 20/8

Call handler called Imogen needs to be fired. She cut my call after she started saying my date is 14/08 which I’ve spoken to them many a time about and wouldn’t put me through to a DM to discuss she then cut the call intentionally while I was saying no I can be put through I’m fuming need to go out or would call straight back

They’re so flipping rude! They need to sort out their call handlers as they are dealing with families with vulnerable children and need to be more considerate! I’m currently on hold to try and find out if we’ve been awarded.. not holding any hope tbh!!

I genuinely think their job description states you must have a snotty attitude because I’ve only ever had one nice person everyone else speaks to you like your an inconvenience calling up

Yep I think you're right. I did get 1 nice guy once who couldn't do enough to help. Bet he's quite lol
