Off topic, anyone know of a reasonably priced store for sensory items. I found Learning Space costly.

I'm currently looking at mytherapytoolbox.com

100% complain! Also these call handlers can’t be trusted at all. Seen someone on Facebook call at 4pm yesterday to be told no decision made yet. However they received back payment today, therefore the call handler lied🤦🏽‍♀️

That’s terrible. Why cause more anxiety when they could just say 🤔

im Praying for positive news for you and your boy! This fight is so draining against DLA and school at the same time. Routing for youuu

Honestly I never anticipated this. At least with school things are taking a step in the right direction now i’ve voiced my issues. Thank you x

Eh! That’s ridiculous I’m definitely making a complaint tomorrow I’m fed up with it x

Good luck I think that will help in giving them the final push. Mind you with what I’ve seen on here the decision could well be done and waiting on you to call up again

We’ve used this website in the past. It’s not particularly cheap but I liked the items on there

Hi guys!
SD 17/7 - COC wanting to add on mobility.
Been told today it's still in the holding queue and to call on 14/1 if I've not heard anything. So disheartening specially when dates way after mine are being seen to.

I got through to general enquiries after 45 minutes. A lovely lady answered the phone and was so helpful. She told me the decision was made yesterday morning and that my son has been awarded HRC. I told her I want to cry. She said it will be backdated to the 1st of July and payment has been sent. I'm still in shock. My heart was racing on the phone waiting for her to tell me. All I sent was the audiologists letters of their action plan, the nursery questionnaire for an autism assessment and the pathway letter. I thought I didn't send enough evidence and was ready for decline. All the best to everyone! It is such an emotional process to go through.

been reading these posts for a while to keep myself a bit sane!
I have rang once a week for the past 3 weeks - first call told me it was with dm and today then told me it’s in a queue for the dm so I don’t really trust them I just like to think maybe it brings it to attention if someone refreshes the screen on your details or something!
my little girls only 9 months nearly so I do think they are going to decline the claim but she was born with life long medical condition which we see multidisciplinary teams for have surgeries etc so we will see the outcome.

My SD is 7/8 and I’ve seen a couple with my date have been awarded so might ring today although I’m a bit anxious. I sent referral form for ASD and letter from NHS accepting my son onto pathway and detailed his daily struggles. Just hope it was enough.

My daughter’s claim was accepted at the end of November as she turned 10m and we were awarded HRC until she’s 7. So don’t be disheartened, we have DS, infantile spasms, damage to one side of her brain, respiratory issues, sight and hearing issues but I was amazed it went so well first time, I expected a decline too.

Don’t let them palm you off. You’ve waited long enough now. They are working on start of August, you’ve done as they’ve asked so time for them to do their part and make a damn decision🤦🏽‍♀️
