We got our letter 2 days later saying how much and when it’ll be paid along with statements adjusted.

Ok great thank you.
Finally it's all sorted. Our scan date for DLA was 08/01 so I feel like all I've done for a year is wait and chase!

Tbh I don’t know prob working from home

Hey just want to say I called in to update that my son school have said that they can’t meet his needs after 2 years of trying and now a diagnosis of autism in summer holidays and put in for ehpc I will be sending the evidence next week . As explained I was told 15 weeks in September, 18 weeks end of October, last week was Jan 15, now been told they definitely wont be looked at it until end of January and will be the first week in February maybe longer, until I get a decision. She basically said it tuff and the applications in June and July had set them back so much.
I give up. Scan date 28.08.

SD- 26th July

Rang today, still no decision, still waiting for it to be looked at....was told it'll take "at least" 20 weeks and to ring back on the 16th if I still haven't heard anything to escalate it.

Congrats to those that have had good outcomes so far this week ❤️

How's everyone holding up? I feel like I jump to look at every text, answer every call and check every bank notification - I can't remember the last time I felt relaxed!

I’m just stressed to be fair because they keep changing the goal posts.. I know I’m only 14 weeks but was told 15, then,18, then 20 now today not before 22 weeks.
I don’t know how they can do this.. the call handlers don’t even care the added stress we go through with these claims on top of being full time carers for our children. The lack of sleep, the extra money we pay out to make our children deal with life , just to basically say tuff.
annoyed much.. lol.. rant over 🤪🤪🤪 x

It is stressful and frustrating, the call handlers say different things and it seems the goal posts are constantly being moved.

I was told a couple of weeks ago that I need to be 'patient' - they will get to my daughters claim when it is her turn!

I might not mind that so much if they were working in date order, I have seen SDs in August/September being given decisions when there's quite a few July's still waiting to hear.

It's a safe space to rant if that's what you need, we can all relate to the situation x

Not great, found my reasons for refusing the original claim today and realised they also wouldn't honour the original scan date of 14th Feb and so made the SD 4th April, I've had to phone and ask them to reconsider that decision as the school and senco took 6 months to send me all the information I requested 😫 which all the correspondence proves, just not feeling very confident anymore and definitely not confident of a decision before Christmas

SD 10/09 for a NC. Not expecting to ever hear to be honest, assuming it will run into February! At least if it is awarded it will be nice a chunk of back pay.

Carson2504 · 05/12/2024 19:12

I was awarded 22nd November. Received back pay 27th. Then received Uc back pay this morning and still no letter from DLA. No idea how long the award is or when the payments are or when first one will be xx

Similar scan dates. Mines 12/09. Originally they told me I’ll hear middle of Jan but I’m expecting more end of Jan/beginning of Feb. But we should hear around the same time so be great if you keep us updated on this thread! X

Had a nightmare of a day. My little one is poorly. The poor doctor had a few punches and boots during the observations🤦🏽‍♀️ literally had to pin him down but thankfully they managed to get what they needed. Steroid shot to open his lungs up, and hopefully all is good in the next couple of days🤞🏽🤞🏽

laur1994 · 05/12/2024 20:06

Just seen on a fb post someone awarded with scan date of 22/08!

naush · 05/12/2024 20:11

NC SD 20/8 I rang last week to check they had received extra evidence I had sent in. I was told I would hear end of Jan for decision!

Oh my word.. I honestly can’t keep up with what they say. My SD is 06/08 and they said I definitely won’t hear back before Christmas!

Oh no poor you and your little one. Ours are the same but our doctors never give steroids we used to get a short course of tablets but never with this surgery, it really helps. Hope he’s on the mend soon. I’m done in with the sickness 🤯

Hi all… so decided to do the MR does anyone know the address for where I send this to please as I’ve yet not received any letters from them and only a couple of weeks to get this all in. Thank you to everyone who has helped me this far.

Loopylooloo22 · 05/12/2024 21:58

I've been keeping an eye on my bank account in the hope of seeing a pending back payment, 19+2 today & there’s a pending payment from DLA dropping in tomorrow, Scan date 23/07 NC
I’am not sure on rates yet but I think MRC & LRM,
Do I need to wait for the letter before informing UC & what do I need to ask them to backdate please ?

Hmjl2024 · 05/12/2024 22:28

Anybody here who has claimed before how long were you waiting from when it got to a decision maker to getting a decision? Mine will be the 3rd or 4th day tomorrow and apparently not been looked at yet as no notes on the system. Just thinking it’s going to be a decline and I feel so deflated 😩

Yeah usually anything like that it’s antibiotics or just paracetamol, but the fact that I had to get him from school early because he was literally stopping breathing when he was coughing he needed some help. It’s horrible cause he’s non verbal he can’t even tell me if hes hurting or anything😭
