Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

How long does it take for unversial credit to backdate the disability element for a child

COC 12/07 got done today. They kept MRC but added on LRM. I was so worried I would lose MRC so I’m happy with that. Good luck to those still waiting!

SD 22/08 NC. I sent a 2 page letter from my 13 year olds son SENCO yesterday. It”s a very good letter detailing all his Struggles. My son has a ASD diagnosis and only Receives 1.1 in a ELA setting.

The letter arrived there this morning at 6am and was Signed for. I have been a longtime lurker on this very helpful thread seeing some of the Struggles and length of time people are waiting. I thought it would be best to send some extra evidence while I still have time so hopefully I don’t end up having to do an MR fingers crossed

I did send a lot of evidence with the forms, but at the time of the claim my son had only just started this new setting. So they did not really know him. Now they had time to see what his like they are supporting our claim. I was told on the phone by a gentleman last week it would be around the 9th January, but I will take that with a pinch salt. I will ring this afternoon or tomorrow morning to see if my evidence has been scanned. Apologies for long post. Good luck all

Good morning everyone. I'm new to this thread. My scan date was 24/July. So my 20 weeks was up yesterday. When I spoke to them on Tuesday, I was told its with a decision maker, but the lady also said she would send an email to the DM to see if she could speed it up. I've been checking my bank account every morning and it's completely disheartening. Do they only make payments first thing in the morning? Or can they be made throughout the day. Thanks 😊

I believe the payment would be there from the morning.

I caved in… I’m on hold.. 🤦‍♀️

I wrote on uc journal 27th November (awarded 22nd) got told dm approved for back pay, they messaged again 2 days later with a date id receive the back pay, and got over 2k 5th December xxx

I've just called. I've been told that my claim is now with a case manager and I'll hear very shortly. I asked for a text to be sent and she said she'd make a note for the decision maker. So then I asked, what is the difference between a case manager and decision maker (fair enough I thought as she used both terms in the same sentence), and she said they're the same thing, just different terms!!
Anyway, she then said they'll be willing to talk to me in more detail once the claim reaches 25 weeks due to slow Christmas post. What does that mean? I swear it gets more cryptic every time I call 😂

just told upto 25 weeks.. asked where my claim is at but apparently she cannot see that… I asked why I was told before it was with a dm then again it was 2nd in a queue to be told now they cannot see where it’s at.
im not gonna call anymore, just sit back for weeks and wait for either a text, back payment or decline letter lol x
