Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

I will 100% be calling tomorrow as I hit 21 weeks. But I’m so angry and annoyed and fed up now

This sounds positive! I'm same scan date, I was told today I'm still in holding queue.

I'm going to call tomorrow morning, and then again Monday, which is when I hit 20 weeks. So far I've only been told I'm in a queue. Fully expecting to still be typing something to this effect this time next week 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hope it’s been assigned for you honestly or better still a decision. I’ve seen that on here where they will say no decision/not assigned and by the following day it’s done.

Hopefully it is but I don’t want to get my hopes too high tbh. I’m anticipating to get a decision by the 1st of Jan at the earliest. I’ll keep a look out for your updates since we have the same date

I know, I've been told mid December then Jan then Feb changes depending who I've spoke too. But they guy today said it will be seen by decision maker at 20 weeks so 🤞 we hear something soon! Let me know how u get on.

Fingers crossed because they told me
last week taking 20 weeks to reach a dm and then 5 weeks from there but the same day a dm rang me shows how much they know what there talking about 🤣🤣

Wishful thinking😂 I reckon mine will take the full 25 weeks🙃

Following for a number of weeks now.
NC 30/07
Decision made today HRC until 2028.
No mobility as daughter under 3.
Genetic condition affecting roughly 1 in every 50,000 children born in the Uk

Son awarded HRC last year until 2026.
Also under 3
Global Development Delay.

I was doing my DDs renewal a few months ago (which took 13 weeks btw if that helps anyone!) I was looking through her original claim paper work from Jan 2019. It took three weeks for them award it. Three weeks! How are they at 25 weeks now!

I think a lot have gone on holiday my guess since it’s the Christmas period

Does anyone know how long uc update it into thete the system the award and back pay disability element please

I'll chase it after Xmas period then give them time to verify it and change monthly statements and issue back pay x

Yeah I would do that should be plenty time and I rang this morning and they said it was on the system (I did ring at 9am) and he said he would
write a note to state the evidence is awaiting scanning I am planning on phoning tomorrow so make sure it’s on there 🤞🤞 x

Ask them to email the dm or to be put through to case handler abd they will personally email the dm looking af your case thry did me and it got sorted that day rang thid morning descion was made payment issued xxx

that’s my oldest daughter done with DLA for a while! In the mean time I’ve had the renewal for my youngest so it starts again. Award ends 28/4 hoping for longer award than 2 years now weve been diagnosed.

I hope not. Let’s see what tomorrow brings! I’ve got to sort a doctors appointment for my little one so I may not get to call up at 9am 🤨

I will phone in the morning and ask if it’s been scanned on and go from there really hoping it has it got there at 6.02 this morning x
