Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

They told me they couldn’t 🙄 I’ll call again!

Just missed a call which says private number.. ??could this possibly be decision maker or do their number come up 0800? Thanks in advance

The dm rang me from 0800 yesterday

They call on private number aswell x

Ring the main number and see if there’s any notes as to why they rang

They have rang me 3 times now over the years once to request I send more evidence and twice to discuss a claim x

It really is a joke and they have no clue either when you phone up
give you some speel the manager has made up for the day.. I really feel for you I really do x

called today to find a decision was made yesterday, asked to be put through to be told my sons been awarded HRC for review in 2026! Crying!
got everything crossed for all you amazing people fighting for your family

I Just called in and they said that my claim has been assigned / with a decision maker ( SD 14/08 NC ) no decision made yet. I said to the lady that before I was told that agents cannot tell if the application is with a DM. She said that this has now changed since the wait time increased to 25 weeks yesterday. She also informed me that claims are currently taking the maximum amount of time to be processed. She was really sweet and apologised. However I do take this information with a pinch of salt because I could call tomorrow and I’m told something completely different.

This is wild. The one from earlier was at least up to their quoted date of 12/07. I’ll call them tomorrow to ask why. Each time I’ve asked about September claims I have said there are July dates waiting too but they never give me an explanation

For those that have received back pay/text, how long did it take for your award letter to arrive in the post please?

Well they’ve certainly not gone from 12/07 to 30/07 in a day. I feel for you. We are “only” 18+1 in this waiting hell

I can imagine I’d be going mad if that was me! It’s ridiculous happy for those people but for you guys waiting from July is abit of a joke in its self! I’m tempted to call again but can’t be bothered tonight now x

New claim, SD 20/07 got a rejection letter today.
feel so deflated.

I’m 06/08 so not as bad as 18/07 I would actually want KC to get her decision first. It should have been like that for everyone bar extenuating circumstances

I plan to call them tomorrow, I’m looking at it like another day closer to a decision to put a positive spin on it 🙃
