I definitely would be aswell and state there is no
support in place we have to fight for everything and school are no help are they! Im
baffled with my sons sxhool
the letter clearly states he needs extra support and help to even stay focused let alone anything else yet they won’t do anything untill they have a piece of
paper in their hand to say says yes been diagnosing with this or that! Why let children suffer so much when the wait is 12/18 months and they can clearly see they need help really grinds on me I really hope you get the help
and support you need I really do! X

Oh wow this isn’t ok. The general rule is that they support even if there is no diagnosis. It took 4 years of being on a list before my son was diagnosed (2 years we could say was covid). School had in place every support they could access. That was at primary. If your sons school can say he needs support, then they can also put the support in place!

🙋‍♀️🤦‍♀️ to say it’s on my mind all day would be an understatement. Literally never had such an awful experience. I’ve even thought about calling them twice a day how ridiculous is that 😂

Emat19833 · 11/12/2024 13:30

Sure you will be soon not sure about MR dates mine was new claim 18/7 SD x

Hannahgonecrazy · 11/12/2024 14:00

New claim, scan date 19/08/24 rang today and told its taking 25 weeks and claims are taking that full time. Has anyone had theirs sooner? The wait is so stressful trying to stay hopeful but it's becoming very difficult!

addies · 11/12/2024 14:05

@Hannahgonecrazy there are some of us here still waiting from mid-late July for new claims. So we are either over or closely approaching 20 weeks and still waiting to hear. However, there are some lucky ones with dates the beginning of August that are already being awarded. Essentially, you should prepare for it taking the full 25 weeks but a bonus if it creeps through sooner!

Emat19833 · 11/12/2024 14:05

They have to care. These years count in shaping their futures! I was imagining my son sending even as something as an email and I can’t!!

Nicnacnoo82 · 11/12/2024 14:15

So after saying I wasn't calling again, I ended up ringing, but only because school have been on phone today to say my son is struggling more 😭 these last couple of weeks.....

Got through to a nice gentleman that said it is in holding queue still but will be assigned to a decision maker at 20 weeks, he's put a note on to ask them to text me when decision made

Mumofthree2024 · 11/12/2024 14:26

I called again today (SD 16/7 NC) and we had a decision made yesterday at 21 weeks exactly. No idea whether accepted or rates if successful. (Though hoping we have been)

dshort1994 · 11/12/2024 14:39

SD 26/7 NC caved in and called again today, been ringing every other day for the past week on the off chance I’ll hear some good news 🤣 but nope just got told no decision has been made and I’ll hear back before 25 weeks. Still hoping for a decision sooner, 20 weeks this Friday & seeing all the awards from around this date I’m guessing I just be near the top of the queue but they keep saying they can’t tell how close it is to a decision being made. So frustrating! Congrats on all the awards made today xx

Phone them back up and ask to be out through to someone who can tell you. Same scan date as me.. mines still in the holding queue unfortunately 😭
