Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Been awdred low mob middle care huge payment going in by end this week
Just updated uc aswell amd asked for pack payment of disbiltt element see how long these take now lol not holding breath with uc till after Xmas
So huge wright lifted and we can have very hest Christmas thanks guys for helping me through this god send all of you 🤩

Thanks. Ties in with the dates quoted at least. I think yours will be next week if they were already working 12th, I’m hopeful you’ll get your decision this side of Christmas. I’m coming at them with renewed vigour for the new year won’t have Christmas to deal with which I keep saying I’m done then find something else they might like 😝

No! You’ve got a solid case for your boy they would have a hard time justifying a decline for him. I have the same worry especially if they speak to his teacher unless she tells them the same she says to me on the phone. Obviously there’s very little in the way of updates from them given he’s not going in which I’ve made clear to DLA. Mentally I’m trying to prepare myself for tribunal but I’d be lying if I said it’s not going to be a huge blow but we go on 🙌

You’re on the very last hurdle. You’ve come this far and done everything that you can to be your son’s voice. It really can’t be much longer before you get a decision. x

I reckon the decision was already made ahead of waiting for the final piece of evidence or they wouldn’t have asked for it. Same will be for yours x

I'm do happy...I know I was very persistent with them lol probs just gave in in end

Yes I do. If they had planned to decline they wouldn’t have wanted that final bit of evidence. Good luck for yours 🤞

If they want evidence from school I’ll be up there taking a seat until they give it to me 😂 they make DLA look good with regards to wait times 😳

🤣🤣 honestly don’t understand why school are not helping surely it’s for the kids at the end of the day makes my blood boil but then have the cheek to tell us our children are struggling! Yes we know daily! Fingers crossed you hear soon enough 🤞🤞 xx

I understand this to well, my school didn’t really bother in year 7 and 8, never had to call or email everyday now she in year 9 I forgot to email by 9.30am they are ringing me. Why all of sudden the change, she been school a handful of times in two and half years.
that frustrated me, you didn’t care for two years.

I'm glad to see some more awards coming through. Congrats to those, such a weight lifted.
I've given up hope. I'm sure it's a decline and based on people's experiences the last couple days, don't feel there's much point in me calling again. I really want to, but can't take the same old speech! It's hard because I don't think they realise how big these online communities are and that we know there are those with dates after ours being awarded.

The whole system needs a lot of work putting into it, parents that are in a position we have to claim DLA are under enough pressure and stress as it it is without being fobbed to the side on yet another thing, maybe if they understood the stress and anxiety these waits cause they'd maybe put something in place to make this whole situation a lot more easy sailing rather than pushing the goalposts further each time we think we're getting closer

No the definitely not doing it it date order because mine n/c was the 31/07 and mine got done last week x

I’ve kept it polite up to now but I expect them to support if needed. I suspect we will be going in front of a panel due to my son’s attendance I’ll air my grievances then! SENCo said 3 weeks ago she would email an intervention plan, she’s sent nothing. Therein lies the issue

I definitely would be aswell and state there is no
support in place we have to fight for everything and school are no help are they! Im
baffled with my sons sxhool
the letter clearly states he needs extra support and help to even stay focused let alone anything else yet they won’t do anything untill they have a piece of
paper in their hand to say says yes been diagnosing with this or that! Why let children suffer so much when the wait is 12/18 months and they can clearly see they need help really grinds on me I really hope you get the help
and support you need I really do! X
