@Kc1999x I've literally never had a good, helpful or even kind call handler so I just don't see the point. I'll phone again Thursday I'm thinking (I'm busy Friday).
I'll be gutted if it's a decline. I put everything in to that application. There's no more evidence I can collect as I included it all. Just feel so deflated as you've said.

I’ve had two nice ones and I’ve called a lot🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m doing the same, call on Thursday when I’m at 21 weeks and see what they’re saying. I just can’t be bothered anymore. Like so many dates after my date is getting a decision before mine. It’s just really draining now, making me mentally ill.
im usually a positive person and can make a joke out of everything but this isn’t fun at all

Stillwaiting2 · 10/12/2024 19:12

Just seen a 2nd august decision on fb x

addies · 10/12/2024 19:34

@Kc1999x I know, you're before me so can't imagine how disheartening it is for you. It's hard seeing all these August dates pop up.

I can’t believe it in absolute shock as I type and feel incredibly sick!
I’ve just had a discussion maker call me - SD 26/1/24 completely turned down for DLA, MR scanned on 26/7/24.
she is awarding high rate care and low mobility from no award!
my head is spinning it’s been such a stressful year and just wanted for my boy what he deserves.. he can have it all now!
I will have the finances to make things just a little easier for him honestly I’m sobbing my heart out!
my little boy has has such a hard time over the last 3.5 years I just want to spoil him a little now!
wishing you all the very best, I know a few of you have been waiting so long like myself xxxx

Edited

That's amazing, congratulations to you and your little boy! 🎉 What a year for you 🤕

NC SD 29/07, just checked my bank and I have a back payment! I rang Friday and had been told it would still be 2-3 weeks. Keep faith all, I had lost all hope. Thank you for everyone's support, I wish you all the best x

Congratulations to you! 🎉

I think we’re all feeling it especially the closer it gets to the end. I just feel like my sons has been forgotten about and pushed aside. I’ve fought for everything for my boy. I’ve got DLA hanging over my head, and we are about to start the process of tribunal for school placement on his ehcp soon😭 it’s just all mentally draining

addies · 10/12/2024 19:49

@Kc1999x
I hope you hear this week, it's long overdue

Thank you lovely I shall put all that on the letters.

Just be careful if you put your national insurance number. When I did that they scanned the extra evidence I sent onto my file. I didn’t know I had a file! It’s only because I rang to see if it had been scanned on 4 weeks later and it hadn’t and the lovely lady on the phone realised what they’d done. The guy I spoke to before that had fobbed me off and said it could take weeks to scan it on.

Yeah it’s advised to put child name, DOB and DLA reference number if you have one.

Me again.
I put a message on here last Thursday to say UC had sent me a letter on my journal saying they will backdate the carers element and disabled child element, it said my statements will be adjusted accordingly.

5 days on and there's still nothing.
Why is it just constantly waiting all the time x

Unfortunately I didn't have that at the time as I hadn’t received my letter with it in. It took about 4 weeks to arrive 😂.

I think I’m going to phone tomorrow (first time calling after 19 weeks and 3 days). Can I please ask what to expect? What information will I need to provide? Thank you

Oh no 😟 I already sent it this afternoon 🥲… special delivery will call Monday to make sure it’s on my son’s case.

Mumofnine · 10/12/2024 23:39

Hey peeps been following for a while now my start date is 09/08 new claim called at 15 weeks to ask if anything was happening but he just said it will take up to 20 weeks - the same old story that's being fed to most of you here - I can't remember if he said it's with a decision maker yet am unsure if I heard that correctly or not but I'm almost at week 18 now and just can't think of anything else other than sorting this all out preferably before Christmas as it would relieve so much stress once it's completed. Hope you wake up with good news tmrw all x

my sd was 08/07 so I’m over the 22 week mark now but it is a coc, being told different things off multiple people is the most confusing part but hopefully it’s not much longer :)

Spurge123 · 11/12/2024 06:50

I’m 07/08 called last week and he wasn’t v helpful really. Said 20 weeks and that was it. 18 weeks today so fingers crossed we hear something soon x

addies · 11/12/2024 07:16
