Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Oh I had no idea it was quite so long 😬😬😬. My daughter has an adhd diagnosis and I'm working through the form but don't want to get it wrong. Gosh half a year to wait. 😬😬😬

Kc1999x · 10/12/2024 08:38

Morning all. Hoping for positive news for everyone today🙏

Kc1999x · 10/12/2024 08:39

Just seen on Facebook someone from march has only just received outcome of MR🤦🏽‍♀️

18 weeks today. I know there’s no point in calling. Do want to know what date DM says they are on though

You never know wait times may go down. New claims have been dealt with quicker than reconsiderations

Last I heard it was the 9th of July. Think you told us that and someone on Facebook said the same last week

Yeah I was shocked when it said march

SD 26/07 NC
Called this morning been told wait time has now increased and to expect a decision before 17/01 now not 13/12. And told me it’s not even with a decision maker yet.

Oh my goodness.. they stay positive I think they tend to over estimate now from some of these thread posts x

addies · 10/12/2024 09:35

@MamaMoon3 I can't believe it 😖 I'm NC SD 29/07 and was told yesterday it was just in a queue but they didn't tell me anything about an increase in wait times. They have changed the phone line to say 25 weeks though. I'm going to try holding off phoning until Friday. So many July claims have now been done, I was hopeful they'd finish July claims this week!

s39 · 10/12/2024 09:52

Seems very quite on here this morning, no new rewards is there anything over on FB?

Juddy28 · 10/12/2024 10:02

Am 20 weeks today called and still nothing been with dm for nearly 2 weeks 🙃 it's driving me insane

They told me 4th July pretty sure

s39 · 10/12/2024 10:08

They are really dragging they feet with decisions and according to few people the phone message has changed to 25 week wait time it was saying 20 weeks before!

According to DM just now they are working on 12/07 dates. I asked him if we were likely to receive a decision this side of Christmas he said he couldn’t say and it would depend purely on how many claims there were from 12/07 to 06/08. I’ll take that as a no

I saw that on here yesterday. Our letter said 11 weeks for an MR decision!

Same here it's ridiculous can't even update letters even if the letter stated something like 30 weeks from the off we wouldn't be stressed checking calling waiting like this it's unfairx😣

I’m guessing that they meant they received the outcome of there MR but there original scan date was March… no hope for any of us if not 🙃

Well they are slowly getting through them that’s summit

SAS812 · 10/12/2024 11:53

our SD was the 30/7 so 19 weeks today, just called and told the decision time has gone up to 25 weeks today and not to call again until the 21st Jan because they can’t chase it up until that date 😫.

I think you’ll hear either this week or next. They are working on the end of July for new claims, they’ve probably just been advised to say this to all claims and those that are submitting new claims will probably have to wait the 20-25 week mark! Really hope you hear soon

Thank you! I really hope so, we’re in the process of trying to get an EHCP sorted for our son and it’s one of those, would him getting DLA help the ehcp process or would the ehcp help the DLA. He’s 14 with ASD and he’s really struggling with school and other aspects of life. We feel that he’s been badly let down throughout school and because of Covid he was dropped from nhs clinic appointments and it’s just heartbreaking to see him struggle so much. The crazy wait for an answer doesn’t help either does it!

CyanJewel · 10/12/2024 12:09

Coming upto week 19, can't believe it's been that long. And now 20 week wait is 25 🤯
Going to see what other evidence I can send in if that's the case
