me everyday. Left more disappointed than the day before😂 but get through this weekend then onto week 21🎉😂

Another weekend of nothing and then probably on to another fresh week of nothing 😂 18 weeks Tuesday is madness. I really thought it would’ve been your week and mine would follow shortly. I keep thinking maybe they’ll release a mass of outcomes in the run up to Christmas 😂

Yeah I reckon they are thinking let’s drag it on and we’ll soon be off before they can ring us again in the new year. I’ll give them a last call of the year on Christmas Eve 😂

My son has a rare bone disease and ive never heard of anyone with his condition being awarded, its not on their list, im really not holding out much hope for a positive decision 😢

Hi, I'm sending in some additional evidence I've recieved from senco and also proof of accepted travel claim (mileage allowance) to school due to my son not being able to use school transport due to his asd. So much has changed for him and the care he recieves from me since I originally filled out the forms.

Will an updated written statement by me on his care needs be taken into consideration now or only only official stuff?

I reckon I'll be doing MR anyway as I wasn't in a good headspace when I did the form so probably missed alot of crucial info.

Thanks.

Shellbel10 · 06/12/2024 20:25

I cannot find child benefit number even on gateway. Did anyone leave it blank

Ivytor · 06/12/2024 20:40

Hi everyone
i got my decision last week for MRC LRM and as much as I am happy that the wait is over I do disagree with the MRC part as my child does have a high dependency on me and is also still in pull ups that need changed all during the night - I sent evidence of this as he has been referred to an incontenence clinic.

are my options to go to MR? I’m really worried they’ll turn round and just strip him of his award but I do feel as if he should have got HRC
when going for MR have any of you had good outcomes?

The thing is when there’s something rare people tend to go into explaining about the disease instead of focusing on how it directly affects said person and why they require more care than a child of the same age. Obviously you say what bone disease your child has, you then need to explain day to day care needs and why it’s more. If you have done that I wouldn’t worry too much honestly!

I’ve never done this before and i was really vague about the impact it has on him. He has also got worse since i sent his forms in and we have just been told today that he needs another operation but i dnt know whether to just wait for the dla decision before informing them of the changes as his case should be close to getting looked at now

Always best to do it as the worst day for your child and explain that. If I was you I wouldn’t worry too much, if you sent evidence along side the form you will be fine!
