Original SD 11.4.24
MR 22.8.24 praying everyone gets their awards soon it's not right we have to wait so long for each part of the claim
Dread doing my other 2 ASD children's claim but Currently on the pathway for ASD assessments and have no diagnosis for either seems like we always have to fight for our children's rights when we have so much going on day to day with the challenges we face it's not fair

We’re close scan date buddies. I am 20/08 for MR. Will let you know if I hear xx

Omg lol but if it helps get through work load I'm all for it 😏x

Another member was saying they’ve been working at home since Covid. I thought everyone had gone back to the office but clearly not. Sure it’s the second time I’ve heard a dog barking 😂

Thank you hun honestly wouldn't wish it on anyone if it wasn't for my other children I wouldn't have to live with the pain

You are right to be your 13 year olds voice as this will be continued throughout their life and this will help set longer awards things like ASD don't just get better they dont disappear gosh 😖xx

I think we can all agree we have to fight for the kids as no one else will, even getting professionals to do their part isn’t always easy. I’m really surprised at my sons school, I understand they are busy but if they write down half of what they say to me about him, I wouldn’t have to ask them to back up what we say. It’s good to have a paper trail of it regardless x

MumOf3LittleOnez · 27/11/2024 21:39

I'm really worried I have no extra evidence for an MR 😔 I sent everything I had in my application. The only thing I have is emails from the school to me alerting me that my daughter has left school with scissors (even tho she's on a risk assessment and meant to be monitored the entire time she's at school) Can I send these? I don't think they'll help but it's a fair few emails showing how at risk she is to her self. I got a letter from her mental health counsellor stating she sees her weekly for self harm and anxiety. Her pastoral support filled in the section "someone who knows your child" and added everything in place at school to help her, her cahms referral, her adhd and Autism referral. I don't know what else I can send 😟

I wonder if some are in office and some at home because the gentleman I spoke to Monday I could hear a lady in the background sounded like she was having a conversation with another person phoning

New claim, scan date 16/07. Received payment today, no text or phone calls. Good luck to everyone still waiting

Quite possibly it’s a mix of the 2. I’ve never heard anyone besides a dog in the background. These are the call handlers not the DMs

I would send in the emails. Even if you don’t think they’ll help they show that your daughter has higher care needs than another child her age.

I was told that 2 weeks ago and yesterday when I called I was 18 weeks yesterday aswell I think it means in the que to be allocated to dm but I might be wrong the wait is so hard isn't it I feel sick every day and its causing my panic attacks to escalate I really hope we hear this week or nxt
Sd 23/07 NC

Ah thankyou, I wasn't too sure because usually they say there isn't any updates so here's to hoping we're getting closer now. I know it is I keep second guessing myself if I have sent enough evidence or If I wrote what I needed to correctly ect it's horrible

Seems to have a better day than yesterday. Hopefully soon soon 😂 part of me doesn’t want to know in case it’s a decline and the other part keeps tapping their number to check where they’re at 😩

You know I think that comes from all the time we’ve had to wait, we then overthink and start second guessing ourselves when when we know we’ve done our best

Yay fingers crossed you hear something soon as much as I'm pleased for the awards being given and some not having to wait so long it does make you wonder how September claims being processed when July and August are still outstanding
Honestly it's mind boggling
Each and everyone of the call handlers give different conflicting timescales and no understanding of how stressful the process is having to chase for so long even longer for when wrong award or decline given 🙄x

MumOf3LittleOnez · 28/11/2024 00:39

Scan date 12/07, decision made Thursday 21/11, Tuesday and Wednesday still no back pay so lost hope and starting stressing myself up worrying about doing an MR, Day 7 and I've just had backpay 😭 looks like HRC, I've checked about 5 times incase I was seeing things, this group has been such a big help over the past 20 weeks, I wish everyone the best x

Mummaof4neurodivergent2non · 28/11/2024 06:22

That's literally our situation with my 3 younger daughters school 2 of whom SEN
They have put some support in for both 6 and 10 year old and they don't reply to my emails as they know I can use that as proof so SENCO always catches me in playground for pickup and arranges meetings face to face or catch up on the day
She did write a short letter of support for dla but wasn't detailed in the slightest of what they help her with and a formal letter for my daughter to access more support sessions at school which I copied before filling in the form and sent to dla as additional evidence also sent sleep clinic report and prescription for MR as we was waiting a long time for the appointment but also had proof from gp regarding night time needs from 2020 despite was ongoing for years
Sleep clinic Dr was great and wrote a supporting letter for our housing situation as iv not even started on that due to the stress of DLA and everyday life with 5 kids here and 3 of are ASD xx

Are they allowed to tell you if you have been awarded or not? Obviously not asking exact amounts but if you have been awarded x

I asked to be put through to someone and she said first of all it’s good news, been awarded mrc and lrm and I asked how much the back pay was and she told me. Xx
