@Starboymummy I sent my firm off free post on Nov 4th and it was scanned on Nov 19th so a couple of weeks it seems x

Do you think I’m probably best calling Tom and asking them to note my account to say school are going to send a letter and the asd/adhd acceptance letter is being posted to me so they don’t decline Me whilst I wait for the evidence x

I’ve called them today to check if the letter from my son’s school has been scanned on, it hasn’t so they’ve put a note waiting for further evidence. I would call up asap x

SKB12 · 03/12/2024 09:21

Call handler said he very much doubts we’d be seeing a decision before Christmas and they still have a significant amount of MRs

Abwill · 03/12/2024 09:34

I called and my MR was put on as extra evidence 🤦🏽‍♀️ after a decision was made , thankfully he changed it all over but didn't say about the time to be honest I forgot to ask xx

Evening all.
Any updated UC recently for disabled child element and/or carers element? Mines been verified. Just wanted to know how long people had wauted before they got their back payment for it. My son was awarded DLA 30/9 and I updated it straight away but it only went to a decision maker 2 weeks ago. Just feel like I've got another long wait ahead of me

I’d ring them and find out what is going on! Two months seems like a very long time to be honest!

Concerned1234567 · 03/12/2024 10:03

Called again this morning NC 17/7. Still no decision apparently with a case manager but no time frame.

It took 8 weeks for it to go to a dm. I chased it Friday and I was told there's no time scale and that a dm would let me know once there's been a decision made.

Kc1999x · 03/12/2024 10:18

Looks like they are catching up quick with new claims. August one been done already

Still delays with MRs. Guy on phone said they’ve still got a significant amount to do

The decision makers should stop being sloppy tbh. How they are declining left right and centre to then awarding after MR🤔 it would make more sense to actually look at peoples claims properly, would save a lot of the back log🤦🏽‍♀️

Absolutely. If they weren’t trying to get away with awarding the lowest or no award there wouldn’t be so many reconsiderations. They haven’t even scanned on evidence I sent in last week using signed for service even that’s experiencing delays. I didn’t ask to be put through to a DM to see what dates they are doing. Are you calling?

😂 the man I spoke to was aware I called yesterday but he was really nice even said I’d done the right thing by calling back 😂

SKB12 · 03/12/2024 10:39

This seems to be the 3rd slow week? Wondering if there will be a big amount of decisions in the run up to Christmas 🧐

We claimed for carers element on 15/11. Told we would get a decision by 14/12 but nothing about how long payment would take. Message was quite rude!

Called this morning to be told a decision had been made today but couldn’t tell me the outcome and to just wait 10days for a letter.
im not hopeful so could someone tell me the process of MR and what’s the best thing to do.
thanks in advance.

Emptyabc · 03/12/2024 10:51

I’ve seen loads of people ring back and be asked to be put through to someone who can tell them and they have..
for a MR ring up and ask for statement of reasons if a decline x

Hi all,

Just wondering if someone can answer this for me. I see lots of people saying they've sent additional evidence. Is this by request from DLA or off their own backs.
Since I did the claim lots has changed with my sons school. He's moved onto a p/t timetable as well as other things. SENCO has written an updated supporting statement. Will this be taken into consideration if I send it in?

Thanks

You can call back. A different advisor will likely tell you. They are allowed to tell you on the phone. If you ask to speak to a DM if you get another difficult call handler.

Hi, yes send everything in. DLA don’t ask for it but if you look at it like a case building exercise so the more you can send in the better. Your son’s changes will be considered.
