I feel absolutely the same.. just want it over now so I can start tribunal!
it’s a year in January this has been going on, I know my lad should absolutely be entitled and the money he has missed out on over the last year could have really made a difference for him 😔

After saying I wouldn't, I have just called. He told me it is a 20 week timeframe (he didn't say 25 weeks, he's still saying 20). He said a decision has not been made but will be by 20 weeks. I asked if that meant it was with a DM and he said he 'doesn't have access to that information and can only tell me it's with the right team for a decision to be made anytime from now until 20 weeks" so still none the wiser. If I were to overthink, I could maybe think it is with a DM from what he said, but could just as likely be wanting to get me off the phone prior to the 20 weeks.

I bit the bullet and rang 19/07 new claim still no decision she did confirm it is with a decision maker but no decision yet looks like I’m going the whole 20 weeks 🤣🤣🙈🙈

10 days after you and still no decision and no update

I got told the same thing

addies · 02/12/2024 12:45

@Tasham25 I'm hoping that not being told 25 weeks is a good thing and we're on track to hear this side of Xmas

They rang me one to gather more evidence from
sdhool etc! Looks like
im in for long hall! X

zoeybrooks45 · 02/12/2024 12:58

I genuinely think they are sticking to this time frame message to avoid people calling as they realised when they tell people more they will call more. Hopefully a decent amount of claims hear before Christmas time. X

You and me both he never mentioned anything about 25 weeks he just said on track for 20 weeks! Couldn’t tell me anything apart from it will be done by 20 weeks

I sent in drs letter! But school just sent me a letter saying she needs help with literacy! Holding on to that incase I need to do a mr. The waits are ridiculous, I’m hoping we don’t go down that route! Fingers crossed

Just had another 2 on journal saying special circumstances apply for element and care. And then accepted for update for making a change on my child x

When did you notify them? I’ve not heard anything 🥴

I know it’s ridiculous just taking some
hope in the fact she’s reviews the claim and hoping the fact she rang rather than decline to ask for school letter shows she’s hoping to make a decision 🤞🤞 x

@Tasham25 sounds like we had the same chap lol I won't read into what he said then, must just be his personal script!

Hi All, first time poster here but I’ve been watching for a while with admiration. Think you are all fabulous.

I have just called up so wanted to let you know for timescale purposes as it has helped me so much! I have two boys with ASD and sensory differences, my youngest is non-verbal with GDD and attends a special school.

N/C, s/d 23/7, just been told that we were awarded on 29/11. No money as yet but it will probably turn up in the next day or so. A good sign that the 25 week is just blah. If you are in the right pile they are getting through them!! We would have been 19 weeks tomorrow.

Also, please carry on the fight for what you think your kids deserve. You will get there!!

My youngest was on MRC only for the first 18-months until I realised we should fight it. I put in a COC and we were given LRM for when he turned 5 only. I requested a MR but we were declined again. So, despite being gutted and repeatedly told how hard it was to get HRM I requested a tribunal and submitted our evidence on the portal and they conceded 28-days after my request!! HRC and HRM was applied until my youngest turns 12.

It is an infuriating process but as we have all discovered on the SEN parent journey, whilst it is unfortunately one battle after another YOU CAN AND WILL all do it for your babies 💪🏻x

Same scan date as me i was told this morning still no discussion hopefully this week they will make one

I was hoping school would help but you saw the rubbish few lines they sent me. If a DM calls them they will decline it on that basis

Tasham25 · 02/12/2024 13:35

I think those of us still waiting for July must all be under the same dm. He/she is taking their sweet ass time 😂

SKB12 · 02/12/2024 13:36

Called up UC they said they can’t escalate carers element claim. Not heard a word back after making a complaint about them online either

Well I’m waiting on someone phoning me if not I’ll just have to send the referral acceptance letter (I only had an email which is why I didn’t send first time around they are going to send me a letter in the post to confirm) school just rang me back and said they will get evidence together and will email some class teachers for feedback let’s see what comes back but not holding out much and with high school I’ll be waiting till new year 🤣🤣 x

think I first wrote 26th. They replied 29th and updated and sent to decision maker; then had messages on journal this morning. Says accepted for care / element back to may 13th. But doesn’t see how much or when I’ll receive it xx

I’m just take positive that dla didn’t decline due to no evidence hoping once I get the evidence sent to me she can make her decision 🤞🤞 will deffo be into new year now though never mind x

We wrote to them on 15/11, 19/11 asked for backdate and told no timeframe. We’ve since complained online but haven’t heard back yet
