Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July for decisions! xx

I'm 18 weeks today. Haven't heard a thing since initial acknowledgment/ scan date etc. I am trying to hold off phoning until 20 weeks because of how inconsistent the information they are giving out seems to be. Mentally I know I will really struggle with that, more so than the already hard and nerve wracking wait. However, based on how slow things are I think it is extremely likely I'll hear until week after next at least. I'm reading though in case any of you hear soon! Fingers crossed for more awards this week!

I’m only messing😂 I just got back from the school run, debating on calling myself but I really can’t be arsed with the same old speech🤦🏽‍♀️

@Chels2020 I would definitely call if I were you! Strong possibility they’ve already made a decision at 19+3

They probably wouldn’t tell you the decision anyway, just that a decision had been made 🤷🏻‍♀️

You call on my behalf 🤣🤣 no let’s see Friday see how I’m feeling then that’s exactly me they give the same speel rude and then have the cheek to say just hang on in there abit longer asif 5 months isn’t long enough 🤣🤣 x

When I rang Thursday she said it had just gone to a case manager then someone told me case manager can’t make decisions so doubt there will have been looked at yet and the lady on the phone told me to not chase again till second week in December 🙈🙈 x

honestly they are lucky they aren’t in our situation🙄 a bit more understanding wouldn’t go a miss uno what I mean x

I know they are just so rude not a single drop of empathy from any of them I’ve ever spoken to x

I’m pretty sure case managers can make decisions also

Only one for me. The lovely Graham I spoke to last week, he was really nice. The others dreadful😂x

What area are you? My SD 14/08 was told 3rd in queue almost 3 weeks ago.

I’ve actually spoken to some really lovely people, also if you go via option 4 rather than 2 they can give you all the information

Is that for MR also

SD 08/08 - called this morning, she said to me they are now taking 25 weeks and told me to expect to hear end of January. I said will it deffo not be looked at sooner and she said no!

I know everyone gets told a different thing, so I am still hoping this is not the case!

She was very helpful talking to me about starting my MR so I’m going to assume so.

Well I called and it’s not been assigned to decision maker 😭

I’m on hold😂
