I think they still have some working the Christmas period, just not the obvious days, so maybe a few days short of the date they have told us

I was hoping it’ll be done before Christmas, even it’s assigned to a DM that would be better than nothing.

I have high hopes. As long as they keep working the weekends I think just before Christmas

Looks like I’m best off waiting girls for renewal as that may be bit quicker he’s runs out in June does anyone know how much before you get the forms? Xx

I’ve never done a renewal so I’m not 100% sure, however I’d say you’ll probably receive them at least 20 weeks before due to end🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve seen that a lot of peoples renewals are being done at least a month prior to ending so being done early

In to a new month. Let’s hope decisions pick up a bit! You’d never think there was a back log with how slow they seem to be going!
my scan date is 12/09 so I’ll be 12 weeks on Thursday. I was originally told I’ll hear by middle of Jan, so I should be able to say I’ll get a decision next month! Although I’m not holding my breath and think it’ll be more February time 😂

Anybody that submitted MR, can I ask if you wrote up your MR appeal yourself and how you did that? Like if you submitted statement disagreeing with reasons. I have no choice now other than to write up myself as citizens advice is taking way too long to even get back to me. I have a learning disability myself so I struggle with writing without going round and round if that makes sense. I don’t want them to look at my MR without my written reasons. I’ve already provided more than 50 pages of evidence. So I won’t submit anymore was hoping my little one might get diagnosis before deadline but psychologist has to observe in school. However we have received a new diagnosis from paediatrician for hyper mobility which I always knew was there but was fobbed off by NHS physio. Any advice more than welcome!! Xx

I got the statement of reasons, then used a bit of google for case law then cross referenced with my sons evidence if that makes sense🤷🏽‍♀️😂 I’m not sure what your mandatory reconsideration is for but it’s worth looking at the website “sendhelpuk” they have a lot of information and case studies on their that may help you understand how to write things up. Hope that is some sort of help to you x

CA aren’t worth using for MR, they are more useful tribunals. I didn’t use a statement of reasons, literally just the reason provided on the decision letter and based his case on that and gave them some background on him. I’m not feeling very confident truthfully.

Does scan date mean the date they received all the paperwork? As mine was around 12/09 also.

The date it’s scanned into the system. It’ll say it on the letter you receive from them saying ‘we received your application on such and such date’ x

18 weeks tomorrow! And I’m getting on the phone! I was ok till hit 16 and half weeks! The wait just gets to you! Even more so it’s the same response when you phone them!

Princess23 · 01/12/2024 21:41

Hi all I phoned Friday for an update first time I have phoned 18 weeks tomorrow and they told me it’s just waiting to be reviewed does that mean it’s in a pile for the case manager to make a decision or what ? Clueless lol x

They are so vague aren’t they🤦🏽‍♀️ either in the holding pile or with a decision maker. If you call again just ask them if it’s with a decision maker and they should tell you x

Hanacrusis · 01/12/2024 23:45
