Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July for decisions! xx

Had the nicest man today. Name is Graham for the MR department. Said it’s still in the holding queue but it should be getting assigned to a decision maker very soon🤞🏽

SD 07/08 phoned twice in last couple of weeks and just being told the same. Fingers crossed get a decision before Xmas although not holding out too much hope 🙏

Now is a good time to ring if anyone wants to call up, got straight through. MR date currently being worked on is 8/07 I said can she give me a rough date when to call back as I don’t want to keep calling to be told the same. Her response? You don’t have to keep calling! Well clearly I do since they are taking the piss 😴 I worded it more politely obvs but I’m free to call every day should I wish to

Apparently i put 13/02 instead of 13/05 but checked and made the change from 13/05. Anyways apparently it’s been sent to a decision maker. Feel following a thread and unless you make a complaint then people have been waiting 6 months.. then only element or carers is backdated and then have to wait for the other one! Uc is worse than dla 😂

They said no timeframe to us too. I’ve asked for it to be escalted but haven’t heard back

How long you been waiting? I first wrote on journal and updated it. Then I’d rang and she sent it to be checked.. then I got a message saying I put Feb and the dates don’t match. So I checked back and I wrote may. So re done it then got that message back. But apparently they ignore on journal when ask for update etc. so people have been making a complaint and back pay has been issued the day day complaint was made. Xxx

15th Nov we declared the change and 19th asked if it could be escalated but they haven’t replied.

Hi has anyone on here waited ages for their acknowledgement letter when first applying? I sent my son’s form off on 4th Nov but as of yet have had no acknowledgement. I rang last week and the man told me the letter takes up to 4 weeks which would bring me to early next week. Thanks x

It used to be 2 weeks for an acknowledgment letter, even timeframe on that has gone up if it’s 4 weeks now
