Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

currently we are in July for decisions! xx

Senco or class teacher. It would be better if they are onboard so SENDAR? Think that’s who issues them can see the request is not just from the parent

Yep! Last few weeks full of awards this week very slow

its hard isn’t it, I always think the same, my boy is in his own little world so doesn’t really notice what’s around him, but I still can’t help but think does he notice certain things. Main thing is our kids are happy, and mine are all happy and thriving so that makes me happy!

I’ve shared the same thoughts. Senco started earlier this year plenty of time to have got to know my son despite regular absences she was confident enough on speaking about him on Monday. His teacher is just a blunt you know what. I am pretty sure she sees it as extra work and just a money thing for us but if she voiced that she would be seeing a side of me she’s been fortunate enough not to have done so far

Thank You I think the main problem we have is our send only been there a year and all my son teachers that new him really well have left, and they didn’t leave me any evidence 🤦‍♀️ now he has a totally new teacher to the school again, he was only diagnosed autistic in the summer holidays but old teachers that was there helped me get this diagnosis and raised concerns in year 1. Feels like I’m starting all over again with it all x

I've only been lurking other weeks, but now my scan date is getting on for 18 week mark I've been following more closely. Definitely a lot less awards this week on Facebook and here this week. It's been really slow!

So I bit the bullet and rang 🤣🤣 a lovely lady answered after 15 minutes which I’ve never had before! And was told it was assigned to a case manager today so just hang on in there another week or two not sure I believe a word they say anymore but let’s see scan date 19/07 new claim x

Sounds like our primary. Most of the old staff left it was like a new school. A year is plenty of time for them to have to know your son though

Do you guys have the webchat option to speak to them or is that just in Scotland? I’ve been waiting on the webchat for 43 mins now feel like giving up and just waiting on the letter to tell me the outcome

No, not had a chance this week due to being at work. Might try and call if I get away earlier today.....will let you know!

If they do notice at least they notice too that they are all treated the same. I can’t say my son is thriving he seems to be just going through the motions. He’s only happy at home which I guess is a compliment to us 😆 school have even asked what he does while he’s at home it’s just a safe space and comfort zone 🤷‍♀️

I am only at 13 weeks, I just rang to say I would like to add some more information on my claim is there anyway you could up date it as my son is really struggling in school this school year and doing school refusal.
She said of course, would you like an update as well, she said I know it’s only 13 weeks but I can provide you this. I said while I’m here I might as well. She said it’s currently taking 18-20 weeks, we haven’t got a number on the system for you can we update that and would you like a txt. She said the my claim has to go to the decision maker by the 15th jan when this is done it only takes 1-2 days if they can make the decision but up 7 working days if they need to contact people! I didn’t ask for this information, she just provided it.

No I'm to scared haha I had a lovely man yesterday I just know I will have someone awful telling me different xx

Same as me today but I did it and now wishing i didn’t makes me worry even more now knowing someone is looking into it! Xx

I'm exactly the same and thinking have I got enough evidence have I put enough down on the form it sends you crazy doesn't it! Xx

Literally does 🤣🤣 I’m already holding for the worst and then anything over that is a huge positive hopefully it’s sooner rather than later but as I’ve learned from this thread each case manager is different so we shall wait and see 🤞🤞 x

Me too!! Getting ready for a MR but we will see! I feel sick with worry 🤣 i don't know which is worse the wait to see a paediatrician or this wait!!! Xx

Seen literally no MR’s today. Feel like they are locked away in a cupboard just for fun🙃😂
