Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐

New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case

number for an update 0800 121-4600

currently we are in July for decisions! xx

It could possibly be a claimant in Scotland as they seem to be on August claims

I think so too seen as we are currently stuck in June/July dates unless it’s under expectation circumstances they can look at things quicker I think

Just spoken to them. I’m 2nd in que apparently! Yet last week and Tuesday they told me it was with a decision maker lol. Kept being told my cut off was 30/12. Now there saying 23/12 🤦‍♀️

Oh no! Well fingers crossed you hear by the 23/12 what’s your date and claim again?

Yeah things like end of life would be fast tracked

They told me couldn’t see queues, could only say it was still in a queue

Im so glad we all have this thread to go on and rant vent cry together because we’d all be left in the dark if not

only thing that’s kept me sane!

The more I think about it the more I’m thinking about phoning 🤣🤣 not holding out much hope this time round as I had absolutely no evidence bar an accepted letter for asd/adhd waiting list and my word and schools contact details (highschool not very supportive) so I think this is holding me off calling as I’d rather get the bad news by letter 🤣🤣

I’m not finding our school particularly supportive. I totally get all their kids have some sort of additional need, however they are on the phone to me often enough expecting our support but where is theirs? You should see the letter they sent me, it’s as if they have begrudged writing more than a few poxy sentences

swear they just say anything to get you off the phone. I said why last week and Tuesday I was told it was with a dm now you’re telling me it’s in a que… she said I’m sorry your told that when that wasnt true.. but you should hear very soon as it’s 2nd in the queue!! I only rang because was told it was with a dm already and wondered if it had been looked at yet! Now I know it’s lies I’ll hold out and not bother calling. X

Don’t think all negative my son got awarded first time MRC with zero evidence I didn’t even send referral letters. I put schools contact details on the form but they didn’t call them🤷🏽‍♀️ positive thinking!!!

Phoned today and still waiting to be assigned..

honestly it’s coming up a whole year now..!

This is the best that my son’s school could come up with. I’m flabbergasted. His attendance is awful but even at the meeting on Monday more than this was discussed. No intervention plan received either by the senco despite me reminding about it and this is what the issue is. It’s a specialist placement so even more disappointing

Roughly how long are Mrs taking do we know ? X

25 weeks

Ours will be a year on 23rd December. I did submit it late so they could potentially decline for that reason which still allows us to take it to tribunal

Sorry this is terrible🤦🏽‍♀️ you’d think as it is a specialist placement they would be trained to write supporting letters

Good lord ! Ive got a wait then my son gets HRC and lrm , his added information on mobility wasn't seen before decision maker gave award so was told to do a mandatory reconsideration so they can do award with the extra information but my lord they have made more work for them selves 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

What is your MR date?
it is crazy how long it all takes isn’t it.. i phoned and requested a MR 25/6/24 but DLA are only going by the date they received the paperwork for it!

I was shocked when they emailed it. I make very little in the way of requests to them and on the very few times I’ve asked them for something, his teacher in particular comes across as hostile as if she bemoans doing it. SENCo just says what she will do rather than doing it. It makes me question if what I’m told and what is being done when he is in are the same.

For example he’s shared with me that he’s seen kids having total meltdowns in the corridor. This is clearly triggering for him so I raised it with the senco and copied his teacher in. Absolute silence!!
