DLA waiting times continue from thread 55

Has any one had a text to say they've been declined?

The text just says they’ve made a decision I believe, not that you’ve been declined

Oh OK, so any one who has been awarded isn't told through text either?

So they closed 25th 26th 27th Dec and 1st Jan only work Mon-Friday that’s what I got told just got off the phone can’t tell me if it’s with a DM or what date they working on only thing he said is case is open & I will hear before 30.12.24!
I give up not calling again 20 min wait before they answered

12/8 week 16 today I know Iv got a little while to 20 weeks mark but they give you no information at all!

So I updated my uc journal.

Had a call from my work coach who said she can see on my records that I called in August 2021 to update them that my daughter who was 3 at the time had been awarded middle rate and that at the time I was advised incorrectly and I'm entitled to the disability element. Since 2023 she has been on HRC and LRM she said that its going over to a decision maker to sort out the back pay from 2021 and that they will also apply the carers element and also apply the disability element for my 3 yr boy fro 12 July 24.

She said in her words " you are owed a substantial amount of back pay"

So please anyone on UC apply.

It is very frustrating especially when it could be a decline and then we have at least another 25 weeks on top.

I do feel the first 10 weeks waiting has actually gone quite quick but I know the closer it gets, the harder it’s going to be! Keep me updated though as we should hopefully hear around the same time! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Called this morning to log a complaint regarding the way I was spoken to last night and just the overall dealing with my son’s application and thankfully got through to someone who has restored my faith in the call handlers.

she was horrified at the things that were said on the call previously and completely agreed with me that his application should be amended to august as that’s when I completed part 1.

hopefully hear back some goods news soon based on that call.

I gave in and called this morning. My scan date is 15/07/24 so I'm just over 19 weeks now. He confirmed my additional evidence has been scanned (my excuse for phoning) and said the only update he could give me was that a decision hasn't been made yet but if I don't get one by 20 weeks which is the 2nd of December to call back.

Just called on the off chance. Decision made yesterday at 18wks 5 days (scan date 17/7). Awarded HRC and LRM 😮😭😭 until 4th December next year (he turns 16 in 2wks) I actually can't believe it! I'm shaking little a shitting dog! Cried my eyes out on the phone I won't lie.

This is proof we should not get disheartened by them telling us it will be 234 more weeks until we hear back. It’s clear as day they have no clue about literally anything that’s going on. .. Decisions could happen sooner than 20,25 weeks. It all depends on the DM you get to be given.

12/07 decision made 21/11, didn't ask to be put through as I can't face being told no! I'll keep an eye for backpay or a decline letter 😅😅😅

quick question if anyone can help. If ds is awarded will I have to tell tax credits aswell for disability element if receiving UC?

man refused to tell me decision on the phone but said one was reached today and to wait for a phone call

I’ve just got off the phone and been told that they are meant to process twin claims at the same time, despite that there’s still no decision for the other twin…

I have asked for a written statement of reasons so I’ll get started on MR when that is received, and I’ll start a sleep diary from last night as no one slept at all last night so seems like a good night to start on 🤣

Wait for a phone call? That’s new I’ve never seen this one I know they ring to discuss a claim with people but never to ring and tell you one fingers crossed good luck xx

Congratulations 😊 Same scan date as me and same decision date but no backpay so assuming it's a decline. Didn't ask to be put through its my daughters birthday tomorrow so I didn't want the stress of knowing! Waiting for the letter 🥲
