Seems slow on awards today! Hopefully we have loads of good news tomorrow and they’ve been working the piles today 🤞🤞

Yes I think tomorrow and Wednesday will bring a flurry of awards hopefully. I was told around 5 more weeks 😅

Exactly the same as me today two weeks ago I was told to wait untill 13th December 21 weeks and then today was told it can take 20 weeks to get to a dm and then they have 5 weeks from there! Nightmare yet seen Facebook at 21/07 been awarded new claims makes no sense anymore

gemr93x · 25/11/2024 16:37

I called and was told they don’t have any staff working weekends and because I only called Friday it’s only been one working day and there’s no update. I asked how are other people getting texts on weekends with awards then/people are being told staff are working weekends as overtime to clear the backlog? Cue lots of stuttering and inability to answer the question 🙃 Just oh well yes it will be any day now!

Nothing worse than being lied to/fobbed off when you know it

Good luck! Hopefully you get your decision today and if not you are 20 weeks Monday so will hopefully be put through as priority on Monday/Tuesday similar to me. It’s an awful wait 🤞🏻

Im waiting as well scan date 3/7 they said the decision had been made but they are just waiting for the home office for My visa status and benefit eligibility. 😭😞

Good luck! Hope it all goes well. The wait is horrendous. I was 3/7 scan date and a decision was made 20 weeks and 1 day. Fingers crossed they sort those for you asap 🤞🏻

NC scan date 9/7 rang a few times I’ve the last 4 weeks ,20wks tomorrow ..just phone in call dropped 3 times then tried again 10 minutes later waited 20 minutes to get through to be then told no calls are being taken atm due to system error .. call back tomorrow ,so I’m slightly confused how people are getting anything other than what I did.

They are definitely not going in strict date order. There was a MR awarded for September recently too

I called at half 3 and I got through in about 20 mins to but the system seemed to be fine

I am on universal credit. But no idea what I do on there. I heard money is backdated but what money is it? Clueless but so happy and relieved after 19 weeks 3 days!! xx

Go back a page and I've put a comment with a photo of how to do the changes and copy and paste the message I typed out ☺️

PollyH3 · 25/11/2024 17:34

Sending the email from the school tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get a decision Wednesday or Thursday. I'm in training at work all day Wednesday but I will be trying to get through on my lunch to check it's been scanned on and hopefully they'll make a note for the dm to look at it. And definitely will be calling first thing Thursday and praying for an award as will be 20+4 then 🤞 I'm really happy with what the senco has written though as it completely backs up what I've put on the application

Thank you. What do you get backdated on there? Is is the £156? Pretty sure my claim is backdated from may time as sure they said £2730 but can’t remember was too excited haha xx

Meaning may was when I first rang for the forms. So is Uc also backdated from then? X

Yes the 156 will be backdated to your award date, and the carers element will be too. So another nice back pay. Although it can take months for the back pay from uc 😫 although they should verify it so you'll start getting it on your monthly payments straight away

Log into your account, go to change of circumstances, child, dla claim from award (12/07 unless you called for forms??) Submit that. Then again change of circumstances, report caring for someone, same date as award given from. Then write a message on your actual journal saying you wish for disability and carers element to be backdated from your award date, unable to notify earlier because you've only just received award notification. The carers element is around £198 extra and I'm sure for disability element it's around £156?? For Mrc. Don't quote me on that because I'm not 100% without looking. So chuffed for you ❤️ fingers crossed I hear soon! Xx

Wishing you the best of luck honey. I’m sure it’ll be fine with the senco backing you up from experience x

So confused haha isn’t the 156 the carers element?

PollyH3 · 25/11/2024 17:53

@MrsW12 what were you awarded? I'm really hoping if they get the forms Wednesday they'll accept the screen print of the email and will be awarded pretty quick 🤞

Is carers allowance and carers element different? I work so wouldn’t want to claim care. Xx
