DLA WAIT TIMES THREAD 54

Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful time.

wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

I took a chance and called them, expecting the usual 45mins to an hour wait and got through within 5 mins! My son has been awarded HRC and LRM backdated to his 5th birthday. Scan date was the 19/06 and it was down as a COC - was awarded 30/10. Just incase anyone else is looking for timescales etc… Thanks for your help with figuring it out, appreciate it! Now to try and navigate the UC side of things…x

For anyone calling up with extra information like from appointments or diagnosis assessments etc since you made the claim , make sure you back it up by sending in actual copies of evidence because your say so isn't enough, although we have no reason to lie just thought to let you all know if you didn't already ☺️
They told me today that even though you call and say this or that has happened it has to be backed up else it's disregarded.

I caved and just called! Awarded till 2026 for my boy! HRC....!!! SD 25/06 over the moon ☺️

CoC.....20 week tomorrow (Decision made today ) did a coc to add high mobility for when my son yurns 3 in december (first dla claim) now been awarded HRM (until 2038) so shocked and happy don't have to apply for dla again until my son is 16 over the moon this will help so much I hope others also got good news n thanks for the support on here I wish you all luck x

Me too. I'm absolutely desperate. I have no support at all as my husband has to work, and I'm struggling so much. My mental health is in the gutter.

Can someone please tell me if I can get disabled child element on UC even if I only have my other 2 children on there and not him as the 2 child cap ??

I've gone through make a change and put that he gets the highest rate of care and then put a note on my journal saying I request the back pay from the 11th of June when he was awarded the DLA I hope that's correct lol

Yes that's right, they can take ages to pay you or even acknowledge you, but when I did mine it took 5-6 weeks and the back payment is separate to your usual pay date.

But hey what's another 5 weeks on top of the waiting we had already ehh 🙄🤣 xx

Still patiently waiting for a decision, sd 25/06 🙄 but I have also seen a few people on Facebook DLA group got awarded from 26th and 27th scan dates…getting slightly worried it gonna be a decline for us…

I'm starting to think the same. I can't remember the last time I had a full night's sleep 😴 I'm the day before you, praying all us June's hear something this week 🙏 and congrats to those awarded today 🎉

I'm 19/6 and they still wanted me to send in further evidence today to get there tomorrow, 20 weeks now and my form hasn't even been assigned to a DM and told it could be upto another 2 weeks for me 😒 x

I’m 26/06 had a voicemail today so contacted them back, we went to Thailand last year for 3 weeks and somehow I put down we went for over a year! 😂 hopefully it don’t slow anything down too much! Good luck, hopefully you will hear tomorrow!
