What's your date? Mine was found when they scanned it on the system because it was the main bit I think. I don't think it was looked at by a DM x

Mines 19/6, when I called Friday I got the usual from them about its not been 20 weeks etc. Think they just try pacify you to stop you from calling again, but I'm calling Wednesday in hope they have answers mine was a COC x

Chels2020 · 04/11/2024 20:32

Hrm is extremely difficult to get it has a criteria online that states what they class as acceptable for hrm my son is a wheelchair user and we had to still jump hoops for his hrm claim

BadgerHawk · 04/11/2024 21:02

I’ve been lurking on these threads for ages.

Scan date: 27/06. New claim.

I’m going to call on Thursday if I haven’t heard which will be 19 weeks. I was going to call today but seems like they’re still working on or around the 25th with new claims so decided against it.

SF10 · 04/11/2024 21:08

SD 25/06. I’ve been watching for a while. Called today and he said they haven’t made a decision yet and to call back on the 12th at 20 weeks and I’d have a decision 😕 I asked him if that’s for defo and he said yes 🫠 so frustrating because from what some of you have said that’s a lie! Sending luck to everyone for a positive outcome!

Nicholeamelia98 · 04/11/2024 21:38

25/06 rang again today still with a dm but no decision as of yet

connor12 · 04/11/2024 21:57

Mummyof6love · 04/11/2024 23:19

Thanks for the info lovelies. I know it’s not easy to get HRM but I do feel my T1, ASD, non verbal little one does cover the SMI rules but obviously didn’t give enough evidence. I’ll call tomorrow and ask for the statement of reasons to be sent out and go from there. Much appreciated…thank you. Best of luck to all waiting for decisions-it’s such a long wait and find the last 3 weeks are the worse wait EVER! Fingers crossed for a good outcome for you all xx

blahblahblahhhhh · 04/11/2024 23:26

Scan date 17/7, zero evidence unless they’ve spoken to GP/school etc. awaiting diagnosis, awaiting therapy, awaiting referrals going through, fingers crossed but not hopeful.

MySerenity · 05/11/2024 07:25

I've applied for my 2 year old for care, not mobility. If she does get awarded anything what do you think the longest it will be before it needs renewing? I assume because of her age it will be fairly soon?
We had 4 reports and could name 7 difference medical professionals/therapists involved with her.

The average award is 2 years if it is pre diagnosis. My 2 year old was awarded 2 years previously.

Do you get a longer awaited after a diagnosis then? My 11 year old has a 2 year award awaiting a diagnosis. I’ll be due to renew next year. Is the renewal form the same as the original?

She has a few different diagnoses and is on treatment. We have more testing to come though.

Yes they do tend to give longer once your diagnosed.

Oh wow. I didn’t know that. Makes sense how 2 of my friends who got awarded a few years before me didn’t have a 2 year limit. Has anyone got any experience of DLA writing to the school for a report? This is what is holding my claim up. SD 21/06.

PhoenixB19 · 05/11/2024 08:25

Fingers crossed for everyone today 🤞

This isn't always true my daughter was given 3 year award before diagnosis then at renewal after diagnosis, ehcp another 3 year award I think the age of the child also effects award length

I just called to ask if it was normal for the school not to receive the forms a week after they’ve been sent and they really don’t care about how stressful it is 😔. 20 weeks on Friday.

Have you give the school a kick up the ass? X
