S/D 25/06 My 6 year old got awarded today HRC/LRM. Suspected ADHD/ASD which is also highlighted by her school. Overwhelmed would be an understatement. ☺️☺️

Aww yay congratulations 🎉 think yours is the first award I've seen today! You can breathe a sigh of relief now 🥰 did you call up and find out? My S/D is the day before you but I'm too afraid to call them!

PhoenixB19 · 04/11/2024 17:08

Is that all of 3 awarded today and that's it? It's very slow ehh..
Congratulations on awards 🙌👏

Kel3270 · 04/11/2024 17:13

Hi thank you so much. Yes it’s a huge relief, the wait has been excruciating. Yes I called this afternoon and was told the decision was made today. I then asked to be put through to someone who can tell me what the decision was.
Give them a call, as it takes a while to receive a letter if a decision has been made.

Called today as is my weekly thing. Almost 21 weeks in. They read out the same automated message that it isn't with a decision maker and they have another 4 weeks to make a decision.
Mandatory reconsideration s/d 12/06.
Looks like my weekly Monday call will happen again next week.

Same old 😴
I'm ringing Wednesday when it's been 20 weeks, apparently you can ask for it to be escalated on week 20? How true this is or if it actually helps push it up the pile or not 🤔 x

It's draining then disheartening. I didn't realise that. I may ask that on Monday coming. I feel like I need the answer no matter what their decision so I can take next steps to tribunal.
Hopefully when you ring this week you may have a good decision 🤞 x

COC scan date, 10/06. Decision made today-exactly 21 weeks. Now-can anyone talk me through MR? My daughter was awarded mobility but at low rate and I want to challenge the decision. Can anyone talk me through the process? Can I send extra evidence? What can I expect? Thanks all xx

Tinxy · 04/11/2024 19:45

Sd 25/6

Ash900 · 04/11/2024 19:57

No wonder they’re so far behind with the pace they’re working. I’ve seen about 5 people get decisions today. This is awful. My scan date is 12/09 and the time I’m having to wait is getting higher and higher 🙄

That's a good question, something i would like to know too incase mine gets rejected or not what I want. I've never done an MR.
I'm sorry it's not the news you wanted 😔
Mine is also a COC for mobility component, I believe it's hard to get the HRM :/ x

You can call and ask them to send a statement of reasons. Once they do you should go through each point, explain why you disagree and provide evidence that proves this. You can submit other new evidence, current wait for MR is 25 weeks. I would get on to straight as the new scan date will start from MR then gather evidence while waiting. You can also request the reason over the phone and request MR. If you do succeed you will be back dated original scan date. I did MR after disagreeing with COC outcome. Hope this helps xx

What's your date? Mine was found when they scanned it on the system because it was the main bit I think. I don't think it was looked at by a DM x

Higher rate mobility is hard to get (from what I've seen). You have to choose either 'smi' or 'vuw' and there are charts and you have to evidence every point on the chart (again not first hand experience but been on dla groups for a while now). Good luck!

Hi everyone. It seems you guys have had a very long wait for decisions. I sent my forms off for a new claim on 24/10 to the free post address as I didn’t know the other address you could use to send it recorded. As yet I haven’t heard anything from them to say they’ve received them. Is this normal? I’m waiting to hear from them as I want to send some extra evidence like my son’s autism and speech and language referrals plus their acceptance letters. I also need to add a few extra details. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.
