Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful time.

wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

Coc scan 28/06 (despite letter acknowledged as before then)
I called yesterday as I was advised to call back from Sept enquiries, was cut off first time whilst in queue waiting (30mins) and then when someone answered I was told their system was down and to call back tomorrow. Called today, call taker kept saying line was bad but it wasn’t and then said he needed to put me through to another department. Lady then said it wasn’t even with a DM - despite someone saying back in Sept the decision would be made by this week.
I think the department needs to be honest rather than pacifying as it makes me more frustrated if there is no transparency.

Mines a COC SD 19/6
Mines been with a DM since last Thursday the 7th Nov, even though they told me I would have a decision definite by the 6th Nov... 🙄🥴 21 weeks tomorrow. Agonising 😩😭

I've rang a few times too mainly because of the evidence that's missing! But I rang yesterday and the lady said she can't tell me if it's with a dm or not! I think they get.that many calls they just pick and choose what to say. Good luck with your claim I hope you get what you hope for and it doesn't take much longer x

Did you put your child's ref or your NINO? they lost mine and after frantic calls every day for the last week someone finally put me through to the service centre. I asked them to double check it wasn't on my file and low and behold their it was. May be worth a try asking to be put through to the service centre as the woman this morning told me they have more system access and can do more in depth searches x

I would rather someone be honest and give me the wait straight than being fobbed off like I’m an idiot. My local authority tried that and failed following ombudsman investigation. I think mine has been pushed further down the queue as it’s complicated and lots of evidence. Frustrating process 😵‍💫🙄🫣

Oh wow really? Ok thank you! The lady yesterday said wait 2 weeks and then call back but how can you sit and wait when they is clear evidence of your child's needs in that paperwork! I will ring tomorrow thank you for letting me know it was my ni number I had put on there. Xx

100% you would think the way we have to fight for everything else for them they could at least be open and transparent

SKB12 · 12/11/2024 20:53

Kc1999x · 12/11/2024 15:53

at 17 weeks now for MR. Still fighting not to call as I know I’ve still got a few weeks left. But seeing all these people getting decisions so quick is killing me. Waited so long

14 weeks for us, technically still another 11 weeks now they’ve changed the timescales.

spiderweb2406 · 12/11/2024 20:54

Seems to have been a very slow day for awards today 😔

It’s odd as the case manager I spoke to today say they like to be as transparent as possible when he said they were working on 19th June MRs, however if I were to ask the agents that answer the initial call they say they don’t know which clearly someone is instructing them to say.

Same s.d as @Princess23 so I know still a bit of wait,I keep looking out to see @MrsW12 because they keep you dangling, If they told everyone where they stand properly then people wouldn't be stressing as much and need to phone 🫣 massive congratulations to everyone that's been awarded 🥳and massive good luck to everyone still waiting to get the right outcome for there l.o's 🤞xx

Aww thank you for thinking of me 🥰 x

That’s so ridiculous. It just goes to show how many they’re declining initially. When I raised my MR I joked with the man it’ll be Christmas before I hear and he reassured me it would be beginning of November. I put a note in my diary for 20 weeks (10th December) thinking I would give it until then before calling but now it seems it’ll be next year. And then it’ll just be a decline again no doubt. How they can tell me dd doesn’t require additional care to others her age when she’s been too sick to attend school for the past two years is beyond me.

Just realised our 20 weeks would be Christmas Eve. They are saying 20 weeks for new claims and 25 weeks for MRs. I think if it was decline without such a long wait it wouldn’t be as bad but to wait 6 months to be told it’s declined would be such a blow.

I sent free post for my sons birth certificate it arrived and was scanned on the system 5 days after posting. You are the only reason I’m still on this thread! I’m looking for your positive update everyday! I really hope your not waiting to much longer! When you’re awarded please remember to update us all! X

Ooh I really hope it can be done this quickly. Awwwhhh that’s so sweet 🥹. I feel so overwhelmed with all of the love and support for me on this thread. I definitely will! I hope it is an award and not a decline. I think the school sent it off today 🤞🏻 x

I’m gonna call tomorrow for my weekly call. With some being done extremely quick you just never know😂 that is my wishful thinking

MrsW12 · 12/11/2024 21:04

Wishing everyone else still waiting the very best of luck 🤞🏻.

PollyH3 · 12/11/2024 21:36

Seen 3rd 4th and 5th awarded today on fb. I told myself I'll call on Friday, but I know I'll definitely call first thing Thursday even though I know there wont be any update. Its taken over my mind 😕

MrsW12 · 12/11/2024 21:38

I really hope you don’t go beyond 21 weeks tomorrow @PhoenixB19 🤞🏻🫶

Which FB group are you following? The ones I've gone into haven't had many updates at all the last few days

I did as well! Some awful caramel chocolate thing but I felt so sick I had to eat something haha. I was up 4 hours earlier and there was nothing so the shock is unreal. On the phone on Saturday DM was so positive and so nice I was 90% sure she'd been awarded cus I thought there's just no way they could be that upbeat having denied a child some help but in the back of your mind, knowing that there are declines you just never know. I am so grateful this morning to all of you, this thread has been such an important life line. So thanks for posting and keep the positivity going ❤️❤️ im staying on til the rest of the group have their decisions x
