I had no evidence at all, just a statement off his old form tutor, nothing else. Awarded hrc lrm yesterday so fingers crossed

That gives me hope! I already have two boys who get dla one is wheelchair user and severe physical disability and my other son who already gets it is diagnosed asd no sleep etc I have every evidence with them two as all professionals involved you can possibly think of ehcps aswell so with my 12 year old expect a decline but we will see thankyou for letting me know and congratulations on your award xxx

Hello, I have been watching for weeks to keep up to date with current waiting times. It definitely is an emotional roller coaster, and my fingers are crossed for each and every one of you. You're all doing amazing and advocating for your little ones. It's lovely knowing you're not alone ♡

My daughters scan date is 27th July, so on the 9th November was 15wks, and the 14th December will be 20wks. She is 2years old, 3 in Jan, non verbal and based on her development reviews with Paediatricians, SENDSAS, Health Visitor her communication, speech, understanding and language is presenting at 6-12months. The initial assessment with her Paediatrician he said she is presenting with GDD and Autism, but she has to have an official Autism Assessment, which is what we are now waiting for, and have been waiting for a few months. I started taking the steps towards a diagnosis for her when she wa 16months old, after a massive regression. I also applied for an EHCP and it was rejected due to lack of evidence from an educational setting, which is extremely frustrating, but will reapply again once she's in nursery.

She generally is a happy girl, but recently having more episodes of dysregulation and emotion distress lasting from minutes to hours. So I sent an update to DLA 2wks ago with additional evidence and was received the following day.

Sorry for the essay this early haha!

I have a question for anyone who might know the answer. If say my daughter was awarded LRC and I believe she should receive MRC/HRC, during the MR would she still recieve the LRC payments over the 25wks MR wait time?

Again, you're all smashing it ♡

Hello, yes your daughter would still receive LRC payments while your MR was being considered. We are currently awaiting a decision on MR and are receiving payments as normal. Good luck, I hope your little girl gets the award the deserves.

Thecrazyone94 · 12/11/2024 09:31

When calling for an update do you press the number for getting an update on a claim which has been 20 weeks plus? I’m not 20 weeks until Monday xx

I really was lmfaro 😂!

MammaLBlue · 12/11/2024 09:40

I shouldn’t be shocked, finally got through and still not with decision maker 😒!

Kel3270 · 12/11/2024 09:55

Well....I got through to an absolutely wonderful lady. She was really helpful and understood my concerns with the evidence not arriving. She put me through to the service center when I was put through to a not so happy chappy. I explained to him my concerns about it having my NINO on and he said well it shouldn't matter they should of put it on the child's anyway but I'll look if it makes you happy to which I said yes please......low and behold there it was on my file not my child's!!!! So he's now indexed it to my son's application. He said the decision makers aren't getting cases until 20 weeks which we know is poo hockey BUT I can relax slightly now knowing my further statement has arrived and I have done all I can at this moment for my son 🩵 just shows the calls I've been stressed making and explaining I think it could be on the wrong file have been for something!!

Oh goodness well hopefully we both get good news! I didn’t sent any evidence either just confirmation of awaiting dual diagnosis and was accepted and schools details so expecting a decline based on no evidence I’ve heard they are really cracking down so we’ll see let me know how you get on xxxx

My son was just awarded Hrc lrm with little evidence they used the application his assessment refferal letter and a meeting letter I had from school that was all, I got a relative to fill it in aswell but expected a fight myself, my son does have a lot more support in place now but I haven’t got it in writing and wasn’t in place when applied, wishing you good luck x

Don’t get why they tell you they can do it and then they can’t! They accepted mine Friday as urgent so just on the phone to them now to check. Will let you know what they say. How annoying for you

This hangry opal eagle when I called today I was told they can only mark new claims as urgent not mandatory reconsiderations so it seems they all have different things to say about it. Definitely worth a call back I think

frannygallops · 12/11/2024 10:35

SD 3/7. I've rang twice this morning (so far) and each time the line has been so bad that they've hung up on me after going through security. Going to try again later because there's normally no issue with my signal from home.

I would definitely try again. I got through straight away. No new info but feels like I’m doing something when I call 😂

40 minutes, more often than not I’ve got straight through

Chels2020 · 12/11/2024 11:09

So I caved and rang and won’t tell me anything without the reference number no idea where I put my letter with it on 🙈🙈 so that’s me deflated and absolutely not phoning again lol xx

frannygallops · 12/11/2024 11:31

Just rang a third time and they cut me off again and a fourth time where they would deal with me without the reference number 😢

frannygallops · 12/11/2024 11:31

Wouldn't deal with me, I mean. I can't bear to ring again

ThisHangryOpalEagle · 12/11/2024 11:34

Seen on a Facebook group a September scan date awarded today. Just doesn't make sense.
I am phoning so often at the moment and they're probably sick of me, but different staff keep telling me different things. They keep telling me the previous person I spoke to hasn't marked it as urgent on the system despite telling me they would. So it gets marked as urgent again and then happens again where they've not actually done it. I am expecting a decline as I've seen a few around our scan date (12/07) been awarded but just nothing here. Is it possible to receive the letter before any back pay goes on, or do you always know through back pay first?
