Yes that was a new claim. I called today and they’d made a decision, I thought it was going to be a decline as it was so fast. The wait to be put through to someone to tell me what the decision was felt so long

Bless you I bet it did congratulations on the award you will have that in place at least while you do a MR so.its some extra support for your family xx

Potentially yeah, I know it is so irritating having to wait so long for it to then potentially be a decline and the process starts again 😩

I think that’s what is annoying me the most, waiting all that time to go back to the front of the queue to start again. We had help from our local citizens advice to fill in the MR. She felt we had a good case but it comes down to what DLA decision maker thinks 😫

Quick question. I now have my boys EHCP and need to send it off. Does one of you lovelies have the address to post it to please? Also, was i supposed to have sent his birth certificate as I haven’t done? Thanks in advance x

I just sent off to the freepost address that’s listed on the website. They’ve received all communication fine albeit slowly but they are in no rush anyway 😩

Sd 02/07
they called me today, a lovely man asked a couple of questions. Awarded high rate care, low mobility till 2027. No evidence sent except a statement from school.

What type of questions did you get asked? And happy for you!!

SKB12 · 11/11/2024 17:43

Is yours a new claim? Sorry, new here. I was told today that they are dealing with mid June claims for MR. I know that’s not accurate going by a couple of posts mentioning 02/07 and 09/07 decisions.

Yes it’s a new claim

to Go through night time needs, asking for details about school and that was it, he already said we’re looking to award. Then said you’ll get hrc but we can’t give u hrm which was obvious. He was so nice and friendly. Text straight after to say awarded also.

it really is daft isn’t it, not everyone is great and writing things down either and it isn’t like they all award for the same things because one decision maker could say one thing and a different one could say something else. It really depends whose desk it lands on and how they are feeling that day 🥴

12/07 NC. Be 18 weeks on Friday! Final push. Be gutted if wait 20 weeks for a decline! Good luck everyone and congrats on everyone awarded xxx

My scan date is the 13 just the day after yours and I've not heard anything either. I'm just itching to hear from them. They said though a good few weeks back to call on the 13th of November if I've not heard anything. The wait is killing me.

ThisHappyBiscuit · 11/11/2024 20:38

Hi guys SD 13/7
Still no news for me unfortunately. But I've just had a phone call from the Dr's today to say my daughter has a very rare gene they've found which they tested her for and I mentioned in the form that they were testing her for, do I call them and let them know the results and what it means for her future? And will they add that to my claim for her?

Update for 06/06 scan date, decision was finally made today, have to wait for the letter now but I am really hoping for the backpay before hand to know it’s an award and not decline! Good luck to everyone who is still on this long journey xx I will update either way with the outcome 🤢

Please call them back tomorrow and try and speak to someone else x

Told me not to call til November 29th which is 20 weeks. Only called once but said they taking up to the full 20 weeks. Yeah it’s a long process and even worse with a 50/50 chance of being declined xxx

I think that’ll be looked at next year. My scan date is early August and it’s end of January we’ve been told to chase up if we don’t hear before then. I check regularly though.

My SD 12/8 told to call back 30/12 if not heard anything hoping it before that 🤞🏼

Sd 3/7 just called got through right away man said its pending a decision I asked if that ment with a decision maker and he said I can't tell you if it is or not has anyone else had that I'm confused as I would of thought pending a decision would mean it was

I think they are just wording it however they please. I was told mine was open and under review, I asked what that meant only for the lady to repeat the same! 😅

Is yours a new claim? It’s 20 weeks for those and 25 for MR. Wondering how they’ve managed to acquire such a backlog?! PIP hasn’t taken anywhere near as long

Hello, I have been watching for weeks to keep up to date with current waiting times. It definitely is an emotional roller coaster, and my fingers are crossed for each and every one of you. You're all doing amazing and advocating for your little ones. It's lovely knowing you're not alone ♡

My daughters scan date is 27th July, so on the 9th November was 15wks, and the 14th December will be 20wks. She is 2years old, 3 in Jan, non verbal and based on her development reviews with Paediatricians, SENDSAS, Health Visitor her communication, speech, understanding and language is presenting at 6-12months. The initial assessment with her Paediatrician he said she is presenting with GDD and Autism, but she has to have an official Autism Assessment, which is what we are now waiting for, and have been waiting for a few months. I started taking the steps towards a diagnosis for her when she wa 16months old, after a massive regression. I also applied for an EHCP and it was rejected due to lack of evidence from an educational setting, which is extremely frustrating, but will reapply again once she's in nursery.

She generally is a happy girl, but recently having more episodes of dysregulation and emotion distress lasting from minutes to hours. So I sent an update to DLA 2wks ago with additional evidence and was received the following day.

Sorry for the essay this early haha!

I have a question for anyone who might know the answer. If say my daughter was awarded LRC and I believe she should receive MRC/HRC, during the MR would she still recieve the LRC payments over the 25wks MR wait time?

Again, you're all smashing it ♡

Yes that's correct, if in that scenario you would receive lrc while waiting for mr

PollyH3 · 12/11/2024 07:09

I'd pretty much managed to put it to the back of my mind until this week. I barely slept last night and woke up really anxious about it all. Really hoping there's lots of awards this week. I have noticed a bit of a pattern where more people seem to get awarded in the middle of the week.
I think it'd be so much better if it was an online system where you apply online and have a portal where you can see what stage its at and a realistic waiting time. And it'd be easier for them to actually work in date order as once a dm had finish one case the next date one would be allocated to them automatically... Can you tell how many times I've thought about this 🤔🤣
