Update for 06/06 scan date, decision was finally made today, have to wait for the letter now but I am really hoping for the backpay before hand to know it’s an award and not decline! Good luck to everyone who is still on this long journey xx I will update either way with the outcome 🤢

🙌🫶🙏

Scan date 3/7, just called for the first time. Got through straight away and was put through to a lovely lady who told me my claim was with a decision maker and I should know by letter by the 20th (20 weeks). I requested a text but she didn’t seem to know anything about texts and said to wait for a letter and if I didn’t have a decision by the 20th then to call back 😬 fingers crossed it’s soon.

Domimo79 · 11/11/2024 16:53

Quick question. I now have my boys EHCP and need to send it off. Does one of you lovelies have the address to post it to please? Also, was i supposed to have sent his birth certificate as I haven’t done? Thanks in advance x

Just received our decision and my son has been awarded middle rate care, can I do a mandatory reconsideration for higher rate?

Update: Scan Date 02/07

Decision received today! Unfortunately lower than expected as my son is very severe, but grateful to have gotten MRC and LRM for him at least. Going to appeal with help from his SEN Nursery! Renewal due next July so probably have to do that soon lol

Hope you all get your decisions soon I know it’s such a long wait! X

Is yours a new claim? Sorry, new here. I was told today that they are dealing with mid June claims for MR. I know that’s not accurate going by a couple of posts mentioning 02/07 and 09/07 decisions.

SKB12 · 11/11/2024 17:46

Hi all, does anyone know what “open and under review” mean for DLA claims? I asked whether it was with a decision maker, more wishful thinking on my part but the lady on the phone clearly wasn’t a morning person and reiterated it was “open and under review”. When I usually call they say no update which at least is clearer.

I believe 2/7 and 9/7 decisions are new claims which are taking up to 20 weeks. I believe MR and COC are taking up to 25 weeks but I could be wrong. I am 3/7 and have been told today it is with a decision maker, I am 20 weeks next Wednesday x

Nelie210 · 11/11/2024 17:46

New claim SD 28/06/24 . I called DLA on the 6/11 to be told no decision been made . I missed a call on 8/11 but no message left . I googled the number and came up DLA . I called them today to be told I’ve been awarded MR for my daughter and will be paid into my bank this week . I waited approx 20 weeks .

Thank you. So we’ve got potentially another 11 weeks. I’m hoping it’s before then so we know whether we are going to tribunal or not.

it was a new claim. So lucky to have had a decision so fast. I called today to ask a question and was told it would make no difference as a decision had already been made. Going to go ahead with the MR

Good luck with the MR, wait times are awful. We were initially sent a letter stating 11 weeks for a decision, that’s now 25 weeks.

Yes that was a new claim. I called today and they’d made a decision, I thought it was going to be a decline as it was so fast. The wait to be put through to someone to tell me what the decision was felt so long

Potentially yeah, I know it is so irritating having to wait so long for it to then potentially be a decline and the process starts again 😩
