Scan date 27/06. Just received a letter letting me know that we've been awarded higher rate care and lower rate mobility. I was awarded on the 7th. I didn't receive a text and I'm so surprised the award letter arrived so soon. Back pay due tomorrow. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Update just got through to them after waiting roughly 30 mins

was told it’s with a decision maker now. I asked the women how long it takes for them to make a decision and she said it could be a couple of weeks or a couple of hours but said she will put a note to send a text when they’ve made a decision as it’s quicker then waiting for the letter. Fingers crossed I hear back from them soon 🤞

Fingers crossed for you! I’m so tempted to call but will wait untill next week I think x

Thank you! And you too. Give them a call the women I spoke to was surprisingly lovely. I do get it though, waiting to get through then speaking to someone that’s got no compassion and hates there job just puts me off and sends my anxiety mad. But fingers crossed we all hear something soon 🤞

Update!!!!

SD 28/06
Rang them this morning and my daughter who is 3 was diagnosed with Autism on 17th October has been awarded HRC 07/11 will get back payment by Thursday she said.

So happy would be 20 weeks on Friday.!! Not long left for anyone else waiting for June.

I asked about HRM and she said I didn’t apply which I’m pretty sure I did same time so said wait for the letter to come and then contact them.

Good luck to everyone waiting hopefully not long left. Xxxx

Hi Lovely, I was just wondering did you send in your daughter diagnosis letter before decision? My daughter was diagnosed with autism at the end of October and we are still waiting for the report, I’m just wondering if mine will come in time and if your diagnosis letter helped with the rates you got?

Nieks247 · 11/11/2024 14:47

hope that helps xxx

Hey hun no I was worried because I’ve still not had diagnosis letter. I sent all appointments, report from nursery and tried to fill out the form as best as I could.
Rang paediatrician this morning to try get something sent over as I thought I would be declined and they said they couldn’t needs to be signed off.
I also sent in a week or 2 ago melatonin and more updates but they confirmed today they haven’t received that. So it was just based on nursery report, my report and the appointment letters.
hope that helps xxx

Congratulations,am pleased for you x. My dd is same hrc but no mobility .I was advised to request the mobility form which I have received but it's exactly same as the other one. I don't know the questions to answer or if I should answer all the questions again!...really don't know what to do.i don't want to go for MR so not to lose what he already have.its confusing. I thought it will be a difficult form honestly

I’m sure on the DLA form it asked if u wanted to apply for mobility and that’s what I said yes too. I will check with them if we have to fill it all because that doesn’t make sense.

that form is stressful but I have more information and evidence to support it so will need to send that. I don’t think u will lose ur HRC if u do it.

Fantastic news! I’m so pleased for you x

Thank you I literally screamed down the phone! Xxx

PollyH3 · 11/11/2024 15:06

Just incase others aren't aware even if you've asked for a text it's not guaranteed as not all dm's can send them. With my dd who was awarded in July they had it on the system I'd asked for a text but I still didn't get one. I thought it was bad enough waiting then and she was awarded at 16 weeks.
So pleased for everyone who has been awarded 😊

Thank you x. Do you mean when you request the form? Or it's on the form itself .When I requested the form,I told them it's only for mobility and I got exactly same form. The only mobility question I see from my understanding is question 43 -53.i am not sure if that's all ...thank u so much for helping x

SKB12 · 11/11/2024 15:08

Hi guys, new here. S/D 06/08 MR. I called DLA to mention further evidence and was put through to a case manager. She took down my evidence and said they are currently working on MRs from the middle of June but I’m sure I’ve seen July MR decisions on here 🧐

You just fill in the part that you are applying for. If there’s an additional notes section, I would also mention it on there why you are only filling out the mobility part.

My son has hrc and lrm. He was awarded that before we had his diagnosis.

MrsW12 · 11/11/2024 15:25

I wasn’t given the form so it looks like it’s being returned by snail mail. I’m not expecting a response until the end of next week now 😫. I’m writing this week off x

Update for 06/06 scan date, decision was finally made today, have to wait for the letter now but I am really hoping for the backpay before hand to know it’s an award and not decline! Good luck to everyone who is still on this long journey xx I will update either way with the outcome 🤢

I phoned and got told no decision has been made yet and to phone back at 20 weeks. I said that the claim had been marked as urgent last week (twice actually as the first one didn't do it when he said he had). He said its not showing anything and they can't mark new claims as urgent anyway in case it doesn't go in our favour. So back to the waiting for 20 weeks I guess 😔

Don’t get why they tell you they can do it and then they can’t! They accepted mine Friday as urgent so just on the phone to them now to check. Will let you know what they say. How annoying for you

MinW11 · 11/11/2024 16:29

Anyone heard scan date 3/7, feels such a long wait!!!

Bev1313 · 11/11/2024 16:35

Sd 3/7 just called got through right away man said its pending a decision I asked if that ment with a decision maker and he said I can't tell you if it is or not has anyone else had that I'm confused as I would of thought pending a decision would mean it was

PhoenixB19 · 11/11/2024 16:37

Apparently my claim was sent over to the Case manager on 7th Nov as urgent as been 21 weeks but still no answer. Been told different stories when calling too, completely fabricating things to get you off phone and cause unnecessary worrying. I'm fed up now exhausted
