This is me too!! I'm hoping to be able to go back part time rather than full time 😭 it's horrible having to be called out of work for meltdowns and meetings etc but with the way the cost of living is this is my only option at the minute x

I have a same scan date 3/7 and on maternity as well. Same situation hoping to have a decision soon.

Does anyone know if they award over the weekend and if they do if there’d actually be any way of being notified? SD 5/7, seen a few on Facebook being awarded for 1/7 and one for 3/7 yesterday. Trying to cling on to any bit of hope it might be soon 😅 x

I know they can make decisions but unless you get a text or a call we wouldn't know any different 😭. Also if we are award over the weekend I wonder if the payment is still 3-5 days as the weekend arent 'working days'

So probs another 4+ weeks for us. It’s ridiculous🙄 hope you get the decision want🤞🏽🙏

They seem to be leaving a lot of claims until 20 weeks before even looking at them and then realising they need to write off or get more evidence which then slows the claim even more. It's happened to a fair few now including myself.
wish they could see to the claim sooner then take into account time for further evidence if needed.. just baffles me 😕
Just no order and no sense!!

CrazyKirsty · 09/11/2024 10:03

Sd 2/7 Had a missed call and a txt message at 9.40 to ask me to call them back regarding the claim so they're definitely working through some today. I'm calling them back frantically but no one has answered as yet... will keep you updated. Keep your fingers crossed x

I don't think the phone lines are open on the weekends, but the staff do work weekends though. I hope you get good news soon 😊

They do work out of office hours as I had a call the other day at 6.35pm then text at same time saying awarded but couldn’t call back til morning x

Yes there was a different number to call on the txt and a woman's name but she called me back again anyway. She only needed to clarify something I had written. I am going over every word in my head and kicking myself for not saying more and asking more.
She was lovely and said a decision would be made today. Stupidly didn't ask about the txt but she was quick at saying to wait for the letter. And her response to my answer was "that's fine that's not changed my decision". But why didn't I ask what the decision was??? Why?! 😩😩😩

Mine was looked at at around 18 weeks then they wrote to the school. Almost 2 weeks on and the school still haven’t received anything 😫. It’s so frustrating isn’t it x

Honestly don't get it... fingers crossed me, you and @SweetSugarPlum will get somewhere this week coming 🫶 x

Congratulations to everyone awarded so far this week! 💕

I just had a question! I know not everyone gets a text but I just wondered if anyone has got a text who hadn’t requested one before? My scan date is 3/7 and I haven’t called at all yet as I don’t like ringing people but curious to know if there’s still a potential of a text or if I’m more likely to have to wait for back pay/letter to find out the decision please.

I think it all depends on the DM. Some send them and some don’t. It’s not consistent at all

I know yeah it’s irritating isn’t it, it should be consistent. I just wondered if anyone personally had received a text after not contacting them at all so that I know if it’s actually possible or not if that makes sense 😂

i Think I only got a call and text because I phoned the day before 😅 who knows a lot seem to just get backpay letters are so slow, they maybe calling and texting more often to keep their lines free too, fingers crossed you’ll see soon, I hate phone calls myself was lucky they answered quite quick but didn’t like the first man’s tone with me xx

Mygirlsandme3 · 09/11/2024 13:17

Aaah this wait is horrific.
S/D 26/06 they contacted me Tuesday about a question I had put the wrong dates in, thought that might have meant it would have been decided this week but still no news :(
I send my daughters IDP, two Ed psych reports, asd diagnosis, risk assessments, speech and laungage reports detailing her echolalia. Now I’m unsure if they may have written to school hence the hold up! Going to contact them Monday.

fingers crossed to any of June who are still waiting that this is the last week of this torture!

and good luck and congratulations to the July claims being done 👏🏼

That’s my problem, if someone’s tone is off with me I’ll probably just cry 😂 I really struggle with phone calls even though iv wanted to call so many times I just havnt been able to. I sent of extra evidence about a month or so ago and couldn’t gain the courage to call and asked if it was scanned on 😂. The closer it gets the more worried I am about a decline 🥴

Hi,
Please does anyone know the questions to answer in the mobility part of the dla form if you're going for the mobility part only..
Any idea, will be appreciated. Thanks x
