Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful time.

wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

They would of made the decision if they haven’t rang you back if you ring them in the morning u will know what the decision eas

Aww stay positive darling I’d say they probably wanted to ask a few questions before they decided the award. I’d call first thing for peace of mind, sending you all my positive prayers xx

Thank you lovely. It's not very fair if she has declined it before knowing further answers. I wish I had said I was on a motorway so couldn't pull over, maybe she thought well that's how important it is to you then you won't even pull over 😭 me and my overthinking mind 🙄

Does UC backdate the disabled child element to the day the DLA was awarded?

Don’t overthink it hun, Maybe her meeting ran over I’m sure she will call you back, I would just call in the morning to say that you’ve been expecting a call & you haven’t been contacted back yet & see what they say

On UC do you get the disabled element per child as I already get it for my daughter, If my son is awarded will I get another disabled element or do you only get it once do you know ?

sd 1/7 just got text saying awarded could cry UC rang before the txt but I missed which is strange as I’m a carer for my other child already what a relief happy with any rates tbh my son is suspected Autistic awaiting assessment

So I've wrote in my journal asking for it to be sent to a decision maker for back date to the 11th of June is that how you request it ?

Thank you , I saw one of Facebook from 9th July today, I did ring yesterday and they said no decision yet, didn’t think they worked at this time of night maybe catching up

Yes. They automatically add it to your monthly statement once you tell them but you have to ask them to backdate it to the beginning of your dla entitlement

UC called me too but I was on the motorway so she said she would call me after her meeting at 12:20 and never called back, no text either so I guess mine was a decline otherwise I would of got the text too. Ah well, best prep for MR now 😣

That's strange as it's been a week now hasn't it? Even second class would of delivered it by now. I bet they aren't very helpful when you call up to enquire about it either!
