Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful time.

wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

Fingers crossed for everyone today! Yesterday seemed to be a slow say 👍👍

Ring them 💯 make sure you tell them you've sent it as the DM should see them notes that you have sent evidence in. I'm gonna call later on or tomorrow morning to see if they scanned it in, I don't want them making a decision without my extra evidence, let me know how you get on, that scan date feels like forever ago 😳😅xx

Woah so they said they haven’t received anything on the system as of yet and it can take up to a few weeks, sigh. I did send mine free post, kicking myself now 😅x

Nooooo I would never use their free post, it either gets lost or gets there about 3 weeks after!! I sent mine special, cost me £8.35!!! 😳 which i didn't really have spare but I knew it wouldn't get there in time.
Was yours a whole new claim or a coc or MR? 6th June is a long time now :/

Mine is a new claim 😰, well they said I did not sign the original document and I know I did unless that part didn’t get scanned on for whatever reason, so I called at 20weeks and they said I need to re sign, so I’m waiting for that to be put on the system so they can actually look at my claim 😩 so so frustrating that we have to wait months and then you have to chase to find out what’s going on!

Something similar happened to me. Have they kept your scan date as the same? Surely it can be escalated when they receive it though x

Also the group on FB looking at it this morning looked like it had a few positive outcomes yesterday from June dates so fingers crossed for everyone 🤩

Ahhhh I hope they're keeping original scan date for you!!
I rang just now and was told nothing been scanned on as yet. I will ring them tomorrow and check. Guess we Just got to try wait the rest of this out now ehh. Although I did say to the person on phone I didn't want a decision to be made without that evidence he kept going on about ohh well you can ask for a reconsideration after, I'm like erm yeah that takes another 25weeks 😅😅😅 I'd rather my son have the right decision first time round not go through more months of stress xxx

I’m hoping so because I would be gutted losing the back payment after waiting so long! When I called they did say “I can see you first called on the 22/05 and your scan date is 06/06” so fingers crossed this mishap doesn’t cause any issues regarding the claim start date! I think it can be escalated as they said my “deadline” was the 24/10.

what have they said to you about your situation ? X

Just called - said no decision as of yet and not with a decision maker. They are taking the full 20 weeks now and to call back 29th November if it’s not done before. He said on the off chance some are done at 19 weeks.

This is absolutely ridiculous to say this!! What are they thinking, this would only make more work and stress for everyone!!

Have seen people say they’ve rang tho and no decision then woke up to a back payment. Think they just tell you what they want to get you off the phone haha. 3 weeks wait. Done 17 few more won’t hurt haha x

Aww thank you so much ☺️. I’ve emailed the senco to say that I’m happy to pay for recorded delivery when they return it back to them because I just want this over now either way. Best of luck to you too x

Probably 2025!!!! They are the worst at this, it's annoying usually their letters get to you in about a week and a half so if they don't receive it by Friday should definitely be Monday?
I really don't understand why they never rang them it's so annoying!!!! If you check with school every day if they don't receive it then might be worth getting the DM to actually use the phone instead of getting out the Quill fgs x

with my last sons renewal I heard nothing from dla universal credit send me a message to say I’d made a mistake when declaring care needs only when I rang them in panic asking what’s going on because I hadn’t done anything they explained his care need element had changed! Good
old dla keeping us all in the dark im just gunna wait it out now im Week after you I’ll give it untill new year before I start chasing them

Scan date 02/07 - been told to wait until the 19th November before chasing for an update! If anyone hears an update around my scan date please let me know :)

Was a new claim.

I’m 01/07 I was told not to call till the 18th I plan on calling again on Monday anyway. It’s become a weekly routine since 15 weeks haha. I will update when I call.

Hi just sent my new claim off for my son on 4/11. He is 3 with development delay and non- verbal.

Can someone help me please I thought my scan date was was the 18th July but I’ve just looked back at the letter and it says “we received this request on the 28th June” is that the scan date then? I’m so confused

it’s so hard the wait, especially when you’re past the deadline it is constantly on my mind, worrying it will all end up to be a decline 😪

wow you’d think they’d want to make things easier for themselves, just goes to show we are just numbers to them, but to us this is for our babies! Xx
