Me. SD 01/07 - last I saw someone in May had just had theirs 😭

I think MRs must be in a different pile. I've seen some may ones recently having their decisions. I feel we are going to have to sit tight for even longer 😩

Anyone got texts this weekend to say they been awarded? X

Been watching this thread for a while but first time posting. New claim scan date 16/7. Feel really overwhelmed by the process, I have ASD myself and these letters that say 15 weeks really bother me as it just gives you false hope especially when you receive multiple that say 15 weeks. Find it hard not to get fixated, rang twice last week, one man was horrible and the other was lovely. All I want is the best for my son but this process is so draining makes you want to give up.

This is me. I have adhd and I just couldn’t shake the 15 week thing off. I’m approaching 20 weeks now because they’ve written to the school. I’m glad I called the other day otherwise I’d have had no clue they did it.

I don’t think they realise the impact things like that have on us on top of everything else. I feel like everything is just constantly waiting but when there’s a timescale like 15 weeks it gives you an end point but then when they move the goalposts again you don’t know what to believe. I said to the man on Friday I think they really need to change that letter and he agreed!

MrsW12 · 03/11/2024 12:37

You are absolutely right. It’s only the lack of communication and the massive wait after the 15 weeks that gives me anxiety

StephanieCee · 03/11/2024 12:38

Hi, has anyone recently had a COC and how long does it take? Told me it can take upto 11 weeks but it’s 11 weeks on Monday and haven’t heard nothing? If the COC gets accepted do you get it back dated?

Loopylooloo22 · 03/11/2024 13:00

SD 23/07

15 weeks on Tuesday

ThisHangryOpalEagle · 03/11/2024 13:13

I hate the constant waiting. The letters stating 15 weeks really do give false hope, as I've not heard of anyone who has been given a decision that early. I'm fixated on it too, it's taken over my life recently because it's going to change so many things in a positive way if my child was to be awarded. Scan date 12/07 and after 16 weeks of waiting I'm absolutely desperate to know and can't think of anything else.

Definitely feel the same way. Surely people must mention the 15 weeks part multiple times a day yet they still don’t change the letters I don’t get it at all. I think this whole thread totally sums up how rubbish it all is at the moment and how it is our children who are the ones missing out.

Miguelo · 03/11/2024 13:49

They really need to update their acknowledgement letters with the real time wait time.

I sent one form off recorded and that was scanned on to the system next day. I did my other daughters form using the free post and it took ages to get there and to get scanned on the system.

Gutted I didn’t send it recorded next day but couldn’t find the postcode and the guy said I couldn’t send it recorded without one. 🙄

I didn’t realise you could send the original form back recorded delivery I thought it just had to go to the address on the form. I sent it at the end of June and heard nothing more and assumed it was being processed then at the end of July I had a letter saying it had been received and scan date was 16/7. So already put me behind where I thought I was. It’s all so confusing, I’m glad I found this thread as I felt embarrassed asking for help

I’m on week 12 of waiting for a renewal so they aren’t being done quickly 😂 Runs out at the end of the month so hoping it’s done around then.

Jumbocoffeemorning · 03/11/2024 19:03

@PhoenixB19 We have applied for mobility for the first time too so it’s probably that holding it up. Just hoping it’s done before her renewal date!

PhoenixB19 · 03/11/2024 19:58

Yeah that's what I have applied for this time round.. just don't know why it needs to take this long. 5 months is a long time to be waiting!!
