Ahh noooo that's expensive do that is bless you. Hopefully will get some answers this coming week for June's dates. ☺️

Sorry if this has been answered but what happens if they don’t make a decision by the end of the existing award? Does it continue until they have made a decision?
Also, how long are renewals taking at the moment?
thsbks!

Yes they will continue to pay you i would assume as not your fault they have not got it done in time. And renewals usually take 7 weeks nowhere near as long as new claims COC and MR's xx
Is yours a renewal?

Emat19833 · 02/11/2024 19:06

Thanks Phoenix, that’s good to know. My older dd had a change of circumstance earlier this year and that took the full 23 weeks! So will be good if renewal much less time!

Yeah my sons renewal due in March but been waiting for answers on a coc first been 20 weeks this week. If it gets extended no point ehh. But would have taken less time with renewal 🤣

Ash900 · 02/11/2024 19:58

Seen quite a few get decisions but definitely not as many as previous weeks. I’ve only been waiting 7 weeks but I’ve spent the entire 7 weeks constantly checking this and Facebook pages and it definitely seems like decisions have slowed down which I would of thought considering they’re back logged, they’d do the best they can to get decision after decision done, not slow down 🤷🏻‍♀️

It varies. Some a day and some a month. Hopefully it's soon for you!

Emat19833 · 02/11/2024 20:50

Really a month... that's madness
Thank you
The wait is lomg enough for it to actually get to a dm and then they take that long to make descion.
Fingers crossed I do hear some

Also lots of people getting told it's with a DM then a few days later they call up and its not with a Dm.. hopefully not your case and you hear something soon as waiting 5 months is a ridiculous amount of time🤞

Emat19833 · 02/11/2024 21:07

It's is ridclious used to be 8 weeks from start to finish.
I posted mine 9th July logged on system 18th July it is a long ttime to wait I feel for those who have been waiting longer...they kept telling me when I called it's still in time frame of 20weeks which would take it to 5th December for a dm to even look at it then if not heard anything then call and they will escalate it for me.
Absolute madness it is
Have you made new claim? Heard anything back yet or is yours sorted now
Thanks for the reply

Thank you 🥰 I just keep thinking it's been declined and that's why. Is there anything I can do if it is declined? So that I can be prepared.

MySerenity · 02/11/2024 22:32

Do you think it makes any difference in wait times if typed forms are printed off and sent, vs handwritten booklet?

Good luck to everyone wish and pray for the best. I haven’t call them since I have applied. I was waiting patiently it’s getting very frustrating now.

Anyone on here still waiting on Mandatory reconsideration decision? I'm on 21 weeks feeling like mine have been put in a shredder in the office.

spiderweb2406 · 03/11/2024 08:32

Been watching this thread for a while but first time posting. New claim scan date 16/7. Feel really overwhelmed by the process, I have ASD myself and these letters that say 15 weeks really bother me as it just gives you false hope especially when you receive multiple that say 15 weeks. Find it hard not to get fixated, rang twice last week, one man was horrible and the other was lovely. All I want is the best for my son but this process is so draining makes you want to give up.
