When I rang on Tuesday I was told it would be at least 2 more weeks for a desision. Then yesterday I got a text at 2.30 to say ds qualifies.
I'm not gonna get the chance to call so waiting for the letter.

Has anyone heard of any more July claims going through on Facebook or anything? I’ve only seen a couple so far on here but I’m not on Facebook x

I've seen a few July claims on Facebook and even two August claims

Carson2504 · 31/10/2024 12:28

July 12th. Rang last week for first time but told me to wait until November 24th 20 weeks. Won’t be ringing again will ride it out. New claim for my 11 year old son, accepted into Camhs for adhd / autism. Only evidence was the acceptance form and the schools filled a lot out on their thoughts and how he needs special measures in place in school.

Hi

Been hanging around scan date 18th June woke to a lump sum in bank this morning so looks like he's been accepted 19 week wait new claim.
I had £2607.75 so I think I've work out that it's high rate care low rate mobility?

This has been a long wait for us got the form in April and have an amazing family support worker at the school who was the one who said to claim ( he also filled the form in with me and sent all the evidence we had on him) I always felt I wasn't caring for my son as i just get on with life ( I now clearly see I actually am caring for him I'm the one who has to make sure he's safe, make sure he doesn't run off, constantly struggling to get him to wash brush teeth use the toilet and he sleep walks a lot which he has managed to get downstairs so I dont sleep well as worry for his safety)hes 10 suspected autistic, school says he shows PDA traits. He doesn't hardly attend school he really struggles and shuts down often with lots of upset meltdowns, he's so behind his peers working at year 2 level even though he's in his last year of school. All of his life I was told hes fine it's normal it's a stage etc then this amazing family support officer started at the school and he believed me he saw first hand what my son was like in the home as well as at school and was the one to encourage me to get him on the list for a autism diagnosis so thankful he's with me every step of the way. My fight is still on for a ehcp plan, fight for him to get this diagnosis and the fight to seek a specialist secondary school that can deal with my son's complex needs.
Next step sorting universal credit as heard can get another element on that which is another one to get my head round as new to that benefit to

All the best to you all that you get what our children need

Congratulations 🙌🏼👌🏻looking at your payment and scan date I think it may be MRC and LRM I say this because I’m a week before you and I got just over £2500 in my account I may be wrong but just thought I’d give you an idea of your award xx

Seen someone on a Facebook page been awarded today with a SD same as mine 24/6 so I caved and called and she said its not even with a DM and she doesn't even have access to tell me where it is ? Only that no decision has been made yet 😭😭

I rang again today (every day I do 😶) scan date 24/6
Nice man, spoke to for a while and he said they can only see what department it's with not if its actually being seen by DM or just in their pile, he said some call handlers see the department and assume its being processed but could still just be waiting hence why there's alot of different information. So annoying!

I'm at my wits end but not hopeful to get any back pay this week so waiting some more I'll call next week again 😑

Isntitmenttobeeasier · 31/10/2024 12:58

Yeah it's a nightmare can't stop thinking about it, I'm going to try to hold out untill the end of next week before i call again🤞

Mommyp95x · 31/10/2024 13:00

Hi!
anyone that’s been awarded and on uc.
how long did it take to verify children and get disabled child element backdated?
I’ve had a message today to say it’s with the child verification team x

Isntitmenttobeeasier · 31/10/2024 13:13

I just got a text to say yes!!!

Scan date 24/6 calling now!

SMO212 · 31/10/2024 13:31

My youngest son was awarded HRC and LRM in June, it took UC about 6 weeks. Make sure you put a note on your journal and if not sorted within 4 weeks ask for it to be escalated to a decision maker on your notes. I've heard some people take months, you just have to be really annoying.

Sarahlou15 · 31/10/2024 13:31

Not sure how it all works
if you put in for a MR can you add new evidence aswell or is it only based on what you sent first time around

BlueDeea · 31/10/2024 09:09

Hi. We are 23.08, so pretty close ☺️

Is yours a new claim x

Sunligh98 · 31/10/2024 14:09

PhoenixB19 · 31/10/2024 11:35

Does a COC create a whole new award or is it awarded on the remaining award period you have left on claim if accepted? Does that make sense, if anyone has done a coc and knows x

My child’s COC has just been awarded and they have added 2 months to his original end date

Quick question as I know some of you have been through this before.

regarding the back pay are we allowed to spend that reimbursing ourselves for things that we have already bought ie paying back our savings for things like

Additional quilt recently bought as he bed wets so needed a new one
new school shoes as the other already new school shoes created a sensory issue
zoo annual pass as special interest animals
holiday booked and payed deposit but paying monthly balances for because he loves butlins and theyve got gladiators there this year.
annual theme park pass as he loves rides (although to be fair that we bought before we even out the claim in)

or is it only to be used for things going forward from now that we havent already booked or started paying for like his next 10 swim sessions that are due for payment next week

Any help greatly received!

Thank you!
I updated the child details and then put a note on my journal asking to be handed to a decision maker in regards to backpay they said when the children are verified it will be handed over and then today had a message saying it’s with the verification team.
My payment date is 22nd if not verified before then will it affect my payment?x

Sarahdestiny · 31/10/2024 15:08

Hi I'm awaiting COC nearly on week 20 still heard nothing
I rang for first time yesterday and they wouldn't tell me nothing made out they don't no anything and to wait until 10th November to ring back to escalate it I am expecting a appeal as I have so far had to fight for everything and my son is 3 in December so it's to add on mobility which i no is hard to get and will have to also renew his claim in a few months
...
Also I am still awaiting tribunal date for my other child since his claim 1 year ago
Anyone no how long tribunal is taking its been forever and I just want it done before I have to renew his claim again

Thanks 😊
