Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month 💐

we currently in the early weeks of June for decision, please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful time.

wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

Just rang DLA and asked for update
as I am very impatient lol I know I still have 3 week
he said I will have a decision by the end of 20 weeks
did not say if it was with a DM yet just said no decision is made yet
so does that mean it is with a DM already or not?

I was told the same a few weeks ago - now past the 20 week mark and they still haven't made a decision and said it could still be another couple weeks🫠

Just rang today foe the first time. Sd I thought was 13/6, but they have it as 21/6. Will be 20 weeks on Nov 8th. Not with a decision maker yet

Oh-my COC is 10/06-let me know what they say. I called the other day to be told it’s 20 weeks but heard others say it’s more like 28 weeks 😩

Scan date 22/07. Heard nothing yet

New claim :Scan date 14/06 .. I thought it was two weeks earlier 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. Phoned today and they said to phone back mid November if I hadn’t heard nothing by then ! They said some claims are taking up to 25 wks to be with a DM I asked why that long and they replied saying some cases we make phone calls or emails to check up on and that causes a hold up on the claim.

Still nothing, not even with a DM to call back next week when done 20 weeks, honestly this last bit drags so much when your so close

Phoning up doesn't effect if it's been allocated to a DM or if they makes a decision fast or not, I think some of the call handlers say anything to get you off the phone for a few weeks. A DM doesn't know how many times you call and pester they are dotted all over the country, some take longer. Depending on evidence and if they want to gather more info or not if the child is at school ect.. that what holds it up not phoning up

SD 26/07, just patiently waiting, doubt I’ll hear anything before Christmas with them now saying between 20-25 week wait times😩

SD 28/08 so got a long wait yet. Sent sleep diary in a week or so ago. Does anyone know if they are worth sending? It was an eye opener just reading it back 🤦‍♀️😂

I sent a sleep diary in a week ago too, didn’t realise really how bad things were until I read it all back! Hopefully helps them to see the night time needs in black and white x

I called this morning my SD is 25/06 they said I should hear any day now but should call on the 12th Nov if I haven't heard anything at all by then for anyone wondering

Ive seen people awarded from June, July and now August 😂

Hi there. I just received my second letter from DLA. First one said 15 weeks, this one says 15 weeks. It has now been 8. Are they saying it will be another 15 weeks from now, or is it 15 weeks from the scan date? Thanks

15 weeks is the old time frame and they’ve just not updated it yet. It looks like about 20 weeks at the moment.

That’s what I meant . The DM phoning schools or hospitals etc will delay the claim until they get clarity on what’s being asked . Not us phoning, I get that we can phone as many times as we want and it won’t hold up the claim.

I'm in for a long wait yet, MR scan date 2/10. Original scan date 9/5. Not expecting to hear til around end feb/early March 2025. Fingers crossed everyone.

My 12 month old currently gets middle rate, I’m about to send off the coc form as she’s just been registered as severely sight impaired (blind) will this go to higher rate? I was going to ask does anyone know how long there taking but looking at above comments people are still waiting from June!!?? Her actual claim only took 14 weeks😱

Received a back payment today which I believe to be middle rate for care, which is what i was hoping for so am happy :-) no letter yet.

Waited 18 weeks 4 days.
