But he did say “I always get nervous when people say I’m next in the Que to see a decision maker because we have no way of seeing that” however they must do? Because yesterday I was told I’m next and today I’m with a decision maker. So confusing

I swear they make it up as they go! What’s your scan date?

12/07! Makes no sense as lots of Junes still seem to be waiting :(

xxStacey · 23/10/2024 16:15

SD 14/06 rang up again today, to find out my son has been awarded middle rate! They said once he has his full diagnosis to put in COC and it will probably go to higher rate.

Michmumofboys · 23/10/2024 16:17

When people phone, what options are you selecting to get told if you are in the queue ect. I keep getting the generic answer of ring back on 11/11
Sd 24/06
So close but yet so far. 😔

Thank you xx I’m yet to find out the rate but I know she will definitely get the mobility component of Dla as I sent off all her hospital letters regarding her surgeries on her spine and ankles plus her solar and senco care plan , awaiting an autism diagnosis and sent psychiatrist reports for her mental health and proof of medication over

It’s with a decision maker now! He said I should have a decision in max of 14 days!

Was yours a new claim or a MR? I’m 26/07 new claim so hoping it won’t be too much longer now. Xx

New claim. Only evidence was school report for CAMHS referral - suspected autism
Received a text today. You need to phone them to ask to receive a text or they just send a letter which takes weeks.
I did ring and ask to find out the rate but they wouldn't tell me.
Good luck everyone x

zoeybrooks45 · 23/10/2024 19:47

some decision makers must definitely work quicker than others. I’ve spotted a post on fb group new claim and scan date of 17/07 has been awarded. I’m the 26/7 so quite a while await for any decision for us😩

Even if you ask its not not all decision makers can and you receive back pay 3-5 days after award so you don't need to wait weeks and you can call to find out I know you said you didn't with no luck but you can and they will you got a unwilling person.

Fantastic news! So pleased for you

Catmadmum24 · 24/10/2024 09:50

Made a new claim at the beginning of June, got fed up of waiting so rang them this morning (Scan date- 15/6/24) was told my son has been awarded middle rate care with lower rate mobility. Should receive the award letter soon. My son is 13 and had ADHD/ Anxiety. Feel like a weight has been lifted from me. Hope you guys get a decision soon ❤️ 🙂 x

Princess23 · 24/10/2024 09:52

Called today they answered without even ringing.
Said it was in the top part of the pile, but couldn't say if it had been allocated or not? He said that I would hear back latest 5th Nov.

It’s so annoying as they don’t seem to stick to the same story with everyone
maybe if they did people wouldn’t keep ringing!
I was told yesterday they can’t see if with DM or where is it just that it is there? But others get told different
same with some people get told there rate and some do not and got to wait

MrsW12 · 24/10/2024 11:05

SD 21/06. Caved and called for an update for the first (and last!) time. Couldn’t say where I was in the queue but said it would be any day now. Really nice and helpful man and as pp said, the phone didn’t even ring.

MrsW12 · 24/10/2024 11:07

Also said I’d receive a text once a decision has been made as I requested one last week.
