wait time are currently between 20-25 weeks. However most likely is between 18-22 weeks.

Fingers and toes crossed for you scan date buddy!

Thank you! Not getting my hopes up cus I’ve been told something different every time 😂 I’d love to know how they allocate them to decision makers, is it by age or location or is it entirely random lol? I’ve seen some people from end of may still waiting and yet I’m nearly at the top of the pile! Makes no sense to me xx

Sophhiiee89 · 22/10/2024 18:02

My scan date was the 5 July how does it all work?

Are renewals quicker than new claims ? The form was much shorter ?

I’m thinking they are, mainly because on a Facebook group I’m in somebody has had a decision off their renewal with the same scan date as me (26/7)

Renewal will be done in time for when it's ends which why they send them out 20 weeks prior. So you will know just in time as it ends

ThisHangryOpalEagle · 22/10/2024 19:26

I don't get the order in which they process the forms. I've heard end of June dates getting awarded, yet early June some are still waiting.

Empez · 22/10/2024 19:32

Sarahlou15 · 22/10/2024 11:08

Hopefully we hear soon then mine is 19/06
do you need to request a text and do they do it if requested or was that excuse to phone lol
trying my best not to phone as only rang yesterday

Sam scan date as me - I also rang yesterday and they said it wasn’t with a decision maker yet 😞

The only time renewals hear a lot of faster is if your claim is approaching the end, if you have submitted with plenty of time in this case 20 weeks you should hear back within that time frame. Hope that helps. You can always call for further clarification as it depends on personal circumstances.

Claim forms are allocated to DMs as they come close to the time limit, then it depends on how fast some DMs work than others or if they are waiting for approval from case manager or hearing back from schools etc. it definitely varies. I am also unsure of where people live make a difference as to who processes the form, DWP hire external companies for different regions in UK.

Feel like I might be the only May new claim left waiting 😵‍💫 SD 28/05 and called today to be told there is still no decision.

SD 30th May for a new claim. We haven't phoned yet as we received a letter dated 28th July staying it could take 15 weeks and to not call. That date takes us to 10th Nov so we are trying to hold out until then!!

It depends who's desk it goes to, some DMs are faster then others, some might be on holiday, some might be chasing up extra info which will hold it up, there is a few factors but just depends how lucky someone are to others

This isn't dla related but there's no threads and we are all parents with children on the spectrum and I dunno who else I can talk to so i really hope you dont mind.
My son is waking at 4am ... I can't handle it, it's making me so angry and frustrated, I am sooo freaking tired. He has possible adhd and odd, pda, possible autism.... we have a clock that closes its eyes at night time and opens in the morning, but he couldn't care less. He wakes his 3 year old brother too and doesn't sit nicely and play.... he literally starts jumping off his bed, wrestling with his brother, he's worked out how to turn the light on and throws everything around the room. He goes to bed at 6.30pm we have tried later bed times but he still wakes at the same time, he's so tired after full time school as well to the point he tells us he's tired and is it bed time yet. I just don't wanna be so angry but also need him to sleep reasonably 😴😪 father doesn't care because he falls asleep downstairs most of the time and doesn't hear our son or get woken by him. So I'm coming downstairs like a ball of flames and he's not even understanding how I feel.

I didn't want to read and run. Have you had a refferal to the sleep clinic ? Ask your GP to refer your little one asap they can help I would start a diary now as that's normally the first step. Be a step ahead so you get support quicker.

My daughter did this and still does it a few times a week I am now up every day at half 4 even when everyone is still asleep.

Do you have a health visitor or a family support worker?

I'm not sure if you can private message on here but feel free to private message me I'm all ears and someone you can vent to last year I was in your situation and couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel no support no nothing things do get better once you have talked it through and asked for support. Xxx

Is anyone else waiting a decision on a mandatory reconsideration. I'm assuming it is a different waiting list as the dates of new claims and change of circumstances are starting to hear back and when I ring I get told a different story everytime and they have said I am looking at December for a decision.

The hubby needs to pull his finger out too! He helped make a family now it's his job to support and be a dad & husband...

Please remember your only human it's ok to feel the way you are don't hide it and feel bad. Your tired over run and clearly have had enough!

That's ok xx

I am waiting for one end of July. Still got some time. Is there no legal time frame? According to DWP is state should chase again after 12 weeks but it can take ‘several months’ have you called for an update? Previously I saw people hearing back after 4 weeks. It’s ridiculous. The was someone last week awarded MR she was the last week of May.

Just try and wait it out I’ve two children who
receive dla and each time the communication from
them
has been completely different one an assessor rang me to discuss the claim and the outcome was given on the phone one rang me to tell me to expect a letter through the post to discuss the outcome and I’ve only ever had one text message and in my time I’ve had
2 new claims
1 coc
1 renewal

keep hope

Hi does anyone know more about the disabled element on universal credit? I've tried looking online but there isn't much. Can anyone tell me how long after verification does it roughly take to receive payments and backpack. Thanks

I'm also waiting for verification from CBOL. UC said once it's verified the system will automatically make payment. He didn't say how long though
