HangryLimeBeaker · 01/08/2024 08:13

@Shelley108 oh so you're definitely entitled to mobility elements for DD. it should've been assessed altogether on the original application you did. have you tried calling to see rates? x

Vic747 · 01/08/2024 08:41

Can anyone help so I can plan? If we were awarded Tuesday and the backpack is due tomorrow (it's pending on my bank) when will the next payment be?

Every 4 weeks from then. Don’t worry too much about date. It’s every 4 weeks from that day.

been a silent watcher for weeks, scan date 16/04 braved the call today, lady was lovely on the phone but said claims are taking 20 weeks and should hear something around the 3rd septemeber 😞

GemzZ92 · 01/08/2024 09:19

@Emssxo Ive just got off the phone....she said the claim is waiting to be assigned to a claims manager. And new claims are taking around 20weeks. So should hear back in the next few weeks. She said she would put a note on about me sending extra evidence.

Brittany95 · 01/08/2024 09:32

So ive just phoned up DLA to find out what rate my son has been awarded.
The lady on phone was lovely and gave me all information - honestly i could cry he has been awarded HRC until feb 2026 . Im honestly soo happy for my son 😭🥰🎉🎉

thank you to all of you lovely ladies keeping me sane these past few months i appreciate all of you 🩷
congratulations to those who have been awarded and good luck to those who are still waiting 🤞🏻

i will deffinitely be sticking around on these threads to see all of you be awarded too 🥰🤞🏻🤞🏻

GemzZ92 · 01/08/2024 09:33

Quick question....my LB is suppose to be on 2 different meds. They discontinued the stregnth he had and now refuses to take the higher stregnth tablet...its a bigger tablet. Ive tried crushing it and tried to get him to take the liquid but he has a meltdown everytime so i refuse to put him through it. Its to help with bedwetting. He still takes the other tablet. Ive just recieved his peads report which states he refuses the oxybuytin but when i first sent his claim in in march he was taking it so i stated this and also sent his prescription in. I now want to send his peads report as it states a few things about his struggles. Will they think ive lied about it? Hes under the continence team and she wants us to keep trying it with him.

Ellie75su · 01/08/2024 09:41

@Jt234
Thank you! I got through this morning with only a 23 minute wait. Although he seemed nice he didn't give much information away, just said a decision was made on the 30th and I should receive the letter in 7-10 working days. I'll let you know the outcome! Congratulations on your award xx

I have seen that has happened to a few people and they have rang back up and asked to be put through to someone that can tell them what the outcome was. It may be worth you calling again

Mumoffourlovelies · 01/08/2024 12:29

Just wanted to let those of you who have been moved onto UC recently and get a transitional payment element, I've just been informed that mine has now been removed as the increase for high rate disability is higher than the transitional payment I was getting, so it cancels it out! I didn't think it related to any child or disability related elements but apparently it does. So something to let those of you who have moved. Even if it's the lower rate element it will reduce your transitional payment by that amount. The higher rate happened to wipe mine out. I suppose once it's gone they can't reduce it more, which is one thing!
