@GemzZ92 definitely! Good luck to you! How are you feeling because I know I am emotionally and mentally drained from this wait 😩

Didnt really bother me till 2/3weeks ago. Now im wishing i would of took pics or photo copies of the form coz i dont have a clue what ive actually put down. I dont think i went into enough detail about how much i have to do for my boy which is more than children his age. Hes 7. Hes just seen peads...who have referred him along the autism pathway for social communication and interaction skills and immature social skills with difficulty in transitions rigidity in thoughts and actions. Hes also waiting for bloods done and then i think theyll look into a dyspraxia assessment. He struggles massivly with handwriting, fine motor skils- cant do buttons, use knife or fork, brush his teeth. I have bath/shower him. Hes also still wet through the night which hes on 2 medications for which dont really work...so many nights he leaks through and i have to wash/change him and his bedding.
I think because its something i just do i didnt really think of it as extra if you know what i mean. He also has a speech disorder.
I sent in 2 private SALT reports, NHS SALT reports, OT report, Referral to Peads. And his school report sheets which states he uses a laptop due to his struggle with writing, pencil grips, writing slope and how he has 1:1 sessions to do speech therapy work and other sessions to help his fine motor skills. Not sure if they go into enough details tbh.

Hopefully our wait will be other in next 2weeks or so xx

Morning all, just querying - my daughter recently awarded HRC after a tribunal- was told that now she has turned 5 I would need to apply for mobility now I believe by doing a COC just for mobility. Can DLA change her awarded HRC rate if I put in a COC for mobility to be added? TIA X

No they won't change her care needs just to look at mobility side for you

Tiny19944 · 28/07/2024 10:32

Hello, my son got awarded care on the 16th and they already sent me another form out for mobility. Don't know why they didn't look at it all instead, I did the care and mobility side on form last time.

DumplingBum · 29/07/2024 10:36

Hey, does anyone know if you still get paid until a decision is made while doing a MR? Or do the payments stop when you apply for a MR?
Thanks for any help!

Muse09 · 29/07/2024 11:21

Has anyone called today for an update? Are they still taking around 17 weeks? My scan date is 20/4 (so 15 weeks on Saturday). I don’t want to call just to be fobbed off with ‘20 weeks’ but equally hate how awful the wait feels the closer it gets.

I’ve seen on Facebook people being awarded with scan dates even later than mine, but not sure I quite believe they were new claims…

Still get paid what your awarded and if it does go up they will back date it for you from your initial scan date

As far as I'm awear still the usual up to 20 weeks over phone about the 17 weeks mark by going from here on awards and dates, but you never know unless you phone as you could be one of the lucky ones that gets seen earlier, but have I mind they prob will say upto 20 weeks

SD 28/03, week 17 + 4 days - Just rang this morning, my son has been awarded MRC, decision was made Thursday so worth ringing for an update because without making that call I wouldn't have known and it would have still been doing my head in wondering today x

Received mine back quite quickly, 4 days after I sent it off but not sure if that's the norm or not? Would definitely chase it up with them x

I am currently on the phone waiting to get through it the only copy I got and don’t really want to buy another 😩

Billie87 · 29/07/2024 12:08

Hi I phones today SD 16/04 and the last said please don't call again until 3rd September. Not sure if that's helpful to anyone 😞

They are so rude sometimes, they get paid either way so don't see why they say things like that. It makes no difference if you call everyday, it's none of their business tbh.
I was also told this 2 weeks ago, don't call until 10th August but ignored them and plucked up the courage to call today and I've been awarded so I would ignore them asking not to call, just a jobs worth! If I hadn't of called I wouldn't of known so don't give up x

Still not scan into the system so got to wait another week and then phone again as it will been over 4 weeks then hopefully she can tell me if they got it

Billie87 · 29/07/2024 12:29

@OneGreenBird congratulations on your award! Yes she was very abrupt! I will call again in a couple of weeks. Seems such an outdated system and the staff are clearly struggling!

Did you ask for a text or be told you'd get one? Mines apparently been in the dms pile since Tuesday last week but they did say it could still take 2 weeks and I'd get a message, but I know not everyone does even when told they will.

17 weeks today
