Sd 20/2 phoned earlier to be told that it's "sitting" with DM hopefully hear something soon. Congratulations to everyone awarded.

I rang, got through after only 33 minutes and been told both new claims are with a DM now.

@HonestPanda mine took about 8 days, only recently too. Applied on 8th May, backpay received by the 16th x

i was rewarded mcr last week, when I did the form my babies sight wasn’t known but I’ve had a letter today that she can be registered as blind. Once I get the certificate and send it to dla what will happen to my current claim? Will I have to wait all over again or will it stay as mrc and then change to hrc

@YourMerryPanda what is your scan date? Hope you get a decision soon 🤞🏼

Usually what will happen is you will receive the mrc up until they look at the new evidence and then change to HRC I would put in a MR as this HRC award money would then be backed to the start of your claim also with registered as blind you will be entitled to HRM also from the age of 3 xx

23/2 for 2 new claims for my 7yr old and 9yr old.

I’ve just waited ages to get awarded I didn’t have to wait ages again🤣 she’s only just turned 8 months old so we have a long way to go, I’m surprised she didn’t get hrc to begin with but I didn’t want to have to go through the hassle of disagreeing with their decision as Ive seen people waiting for absolutely ages xx

Ring to do a manditory reconsideration then send the evidence in for it and it should get backdated high rate to the start of claim x

Our son's scan date was 12/02. We are happy to share that he has been awarded MRC and LHR.
We were hoping for HRM, but we will not pursue a review. We believe LHR might actually be the best fit for him.
Thank you all for your support during this time. It was so much easier to come to this thread, read, and comment.

Finally received my 1st letter today to say they had my claim and got it on the 22/05 🤣 long way to go for me but so glad I finally have a reference to send additional information off , congratulations to everyone who was awarded today ❤️ & 🤞 for all of us still waiting x

Oh really wow that Is a long time !! & yeah I had slim hopes of this letter coming anytime soon as I no loads of use are still waiting for yours this wait for anything DLA related is dreadful xx

Scan date 21/02. Called today and was told it was (still) with a decision maker and that we should hear by the end of the week 🤔
