Hi!
I posted my son’s forms back today recorded 1st class delivery. I know I’m in for a long wait but does anyone know roughly how long?
also how does back payment work? I rang the helpline 8th May so will I get backdated until then? Thank you in advance ☺️

Has anybody sent in extra evidence in recently do we know how long the wait is to get scanned onto the claim

I've got some to send just not sure what's best address to use. When I rang about it they said was taking a week from receiving it to be scanned on

I sent some in a couple weeks ago and it was scanned on the day after they got it, hope this helps x

Anyone else having the call fail as soon as you try to call?

Just found out my little boy has been awarded MRC for 2 years. Scan date was 15/02. Text on 31/05 to say still looking. Decision was made on 7/06. I haven’t had a payment yet or a letter but a very helpful lady called Maya gave me all the details when I rang just now. I burst into tears. I think I’d parked it and just expected a decline. So pleased for my little boy.

Currently on the phone trying to get through as I need to change bank details but thought it couldn’t hurt to ask aswell x

So I did! Thank you. They said a decision has been made and a breakdown of that decision has sent but he wouldn't tell me what it was. Has anyone else had this. I sent on docs from speech therapy, school, the waiting list for the children's hospital diagnose team. About 5 different reports and a school learning plan which staes they won't take her for longer than 2 hours a day. I'm panicking he wouldn't tell me because its a no. I can't see why they would, it's very obvious she has special needs.

Finally plucked up the courage to ring DLA. Spoke to a really lovely woman scan date is 16/02 she said there was a delay because of waiting on correspondence from the school for evidence.
We just had a meeting a few weeks ago with the head teacher, I don't want to feel cheeky but going to go in today before end of school to ask then to include the documents from what we spoke about in said meeting
They said how he was a danger to himselves & others, very immature for his age ( 11)
Been given Fidget toys in class and now has 1-1 support several times a week, being referred back to mental health services & emotional resilience sessions in school and how the senco is looking on ways to speed up the autism & ADHD assessment. Would this be okay to ask the Head to send to them? . As that's what's written on my documentation which the head emailed to me. I won't have time to add it as evidence myself.

I just called scan date 20/2 got through to a happy enough sounding guy called Chris he wouldn’t tell me anything though 😂 said I’d hear back in the next week or two wouldnt even comment on whether it was with a dm or not

I'd say they only did it today because the next payment is due 9th July which is exactly 4 weeks today. So happy I could cry. Just update UC and have to phone tax credits too cause I changed over midway through.
Good luck anyone calling or still waiting. They seem to have picked up there speed through the dates this week

A few people have had call handlers not tell them the decision, they called back and asked to be put through to someone who can tell them. X

This sounds so similar to my boy. He is also 11 , he has fidget toys in class, 1-1 support daily, on reduced time table, just been accepted for mental health help for the 3rd time under CAMHS , school have sent off for ASD assessment and EHCP.

10/6 decision made accepted
I called to day for rates ect and gave me all info I needed
