July 3rd Sorry**

Ah no I got my hopes up reading June 3rd! I might try calling tomorrow, just hate that they all say different things so could end up feeling worse than I already do! X

So I finally got the text to say ds has been awarded. Do you know when they payout? Original application start date 08/08/23 rejected 22/1 mandatory reconsideration 28/2 and award text 08/06 gosh it's been a long road..... Should get some nice back pay though.

Congratulations on your perseverance!

Probs Wed-Fri coming I'd think.

hoping I don’t have to do MR but for those who have … do they back pay to the date on MR or all the way back to the start of the claim? X

MumOf6Beauts · 09/06/2024 18:47

@Chocolatebiscuit42 I know that's why I hate ringing but it's so close now! I really hope we all hear in the next 2 weeks 🥰

@Matilde08 so so glad you had a wonderful time and managed to forget about it all for a while. Its amazing how children can be so understanding and caring for each other. Puts some adults to shame

I would gladly if I could put my claim on hold so yours is dealt with 🫶

You have waited long enough and I truly hope this week is your week!!

Aw.. thanks for your generosity 🫂😊💕 I really tried this weekend just switch on other things as I started to feel how much it drains me and takes that focus away on the most important things .my family 💕
Good luck to everyone this following week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
It's 200 says for me since the scan day 🙃🤦🏻‍♀️

To the original application date so 8th August 2023 for me.... No idea what he's been awarded yet rates wise though.

Thank you. I’m glad to hear it got accepted by other professionals as that was a big worry too. His school started the referal but have also said if they can’t accommodate him he will have to go to a hospital school , so I’ve got a feeling he will be moved schools part way through too. It’s such a fight for anything for our children these days isn’t it! I will have a look at that website now 💜 thank you again x

Not sure if I’m adding this to the right place, first time posting.
recently got daughter diagnosed went through a relatively new scheme called right to choose, school senco should be able to help but was basically private but funded at no cost to us.
was about 3 months from start to diagnosis good luck!

Twinnies010920 · 09/06/2024 21:06

hi ,
ive seen different time frames saying its taking up to 20weeks plus but hopefully not much longer till we recieve a decision im just anxiously waiting . Fingers crossed for us both

Yeah I've seen it's taking a little longer aswell, our 15 weeks is like the 16th July so I think I'll wait until like the Friday and then call them and see where they're at as I think if I called before and they were rude I wouldn't be very nice back considering I had to wait 3 months and call 4 times before I even got the forms sent out

MumOf6Beauts · 09/06/2024 21:17

@Chocolatebiscuit42 I think it's tribunal, I'm not 100% sure, my daughter had DLA For 9 Months when she was 3 they stopped it after her 4th birthday we took it to tribunal but they denied it, and now after 7 more years she finally has 4 diagnosis' but again got denied so doing an MR but fully committed to go to tribunal because I know she deserves it
I hope it doesn't go that far for either of us though.... happy thoughts ☺️

Yeah i calculated 16th july as the 15week mark but this whole time ive doubted ill hear anything before then. Yeah i dont think ill phone untill after the 15week mark as reading how some call handlers have been im scared to phone to even ask for an update. Its shocking you had to call 4 times before getting the forms sent out. I had to phone a month after sending my forms off to make sure they had recieved them and was told by the woman on the phone they had and then a week later i recieved a letter confirming they had recieved them but i think thats only because i phoned up to ask.

hopefully we will get good news 🤞🏻

Wondering if anyone can help me and who you have got to prescribe your child something to help them sleep I’ve spoke to my GP twice about helping my children sleep my boy is 3 suspected ASD and does not sleep at all I’m lucky if I get between an hour of sleep a night with him and this is about 3/4 in the morning before he finally goes off and my girl who is 5 has extremely high traipse of ADHD and some traipse of asd (harder to detect in girls) my gp will not prescribe anything other then piriton which may make you drowsy 🤣🤣🤣😩 this does not even touch my kids at all and I’m really at a point now where I am mentally and physically drained they are both extremely violent and attack me barely sleep and up at the crack of dawn can not be left unsupervised excetra and I just need something to help them sleep at night skwl have wrote me letters and they still won’t prescribe nothing more and said that camhs will be able to help when assessed with sleeping but I’m looking at another 12-18 months plus for my boy and 24 months for my girl as she has only just been referred I’m literally running off 1-2 hours sleep a night I am praying one of you lovely people can point me in the right direction of someone that can actually help thankyou in advance x

We went to a private paediatrician who prescribes melatonin for my youngest. We were absolutely desperate and no one else would help.

Goodmorning,
my son isn’t medicated yet either as we also have to wait for camhs to prescribe. The reason the doctor won’t is because they are under 18 and have to be closely monitored according to my Gp. I’ve heard people say to give magnesium to help with sleep but my boys already on 4 different medications so I’m weary of giving anything that’s not prescribed incase of interactions.
sorry not much use but apart from magnesium and melatonin I haven’t heard of anything else that may help .
but from one tired mum to another, I know how your feeling x
